Car per year? I lease and put about 900 miles a month on my car.

I own my car...never leased a vehicle. I bought my car back in 2000 and still keeps going. I dont drive it very often (1x/week).

I currently have a lease on my 2015 Chevy Cruze. My lease terms are for 32,000 miles over 3 years, and I'm 1 and 1/2 years into my lease and only at 17,000. I used to drive probably around 1000 miles a month, but when I moved to Massachusetts and got my new job, I began to use the commuter services, so I barely use my car nowadays.

My wife, and I, work five and four miles away respectively. She leases her car with the anticipation that she will keep her miles under fifteen thousand a year. She is pretty close to that number because she increased her pleasure driving- I have not brought this up because I am not big on the leasing concept and do not want to say "I told you so". I drive a fifty year old jeep and am celebrating my 15 month anniversary of no problems with the antique. I only need to renew my plates once every five years and am not subject to emissions tests. During the summer I drive a scooter several times a week in order to minimize the cost of the jeep. Both vehicles are owned free and clear. My daughter stays up at school about forty miles away and drives back when she can break away. Her car is a newer Toyota and we are making payments on that.

I own my own car.  I bought it 3 1/2 years ago.  It was just a year old and only had 14000 miles on it.

I have owned 3 cars in my life time,,,  paid all 3 off.  they all lasted me 7 to 12 years before I traded them in on my next one.   This one I have now I decided to lease it and decide on if I wanna buy it outright or lease another one.  I have another year to decide.  I don't put many miles on it so when I turn it in the car will have less miles on it so that will help alot.   But I do like not having a car payment  LOL    But I also like having a nice new car also
