For your FYI
« on: January 02, 2017, 12:43:17 pm »
I installed an extension on my browser that shows me where the server of the website I am visiting is located.  I am just curious as to if anyone else is aware that a ton of the surveys we take are coming out of India?  And what is left seems most are not from the US.  Why would someone in India need to do any of these surveys.  I have started Xing out of them if they are from over seas.  I was not aware of this.  And with some of the questions we are asked it seems more odd that they are coming from India or Pakistan.

I suppose they  are put to India and then put to us to do. Did alot of political surveys about Clinton Trump, bond measures they were all for  US  people.

Yes they are for people in the US.  I just found this odd.  I didn't know the surveys were coming from other countries.

Because it is cheaper to outsource to India.
The survey company employs a company in India to use their website to collect & sort their data, then send them back the competed data. Cheaper.

I know a lot of photography companies, the ones who sort photos of events & grads, send the pictures to India to sort and categorize and tag.  Then have them sent back or have India host the shots.  Costs only a fraction of what it would cost in the USA & they are faster.   Cheaper labor costs. cheaper server/internet costs.

I did not know that.  Did not see how it could cost much of anything.  There are websites where I can make surveys and get the answers here.  I just thought that was strange.  I thought that was the purpose of online instead of ither ways like paper mail.  😐

There are times when doing a survey if i don't really like what they are asking i just  ignore it or  jput a wrong answer in. Because when it is getting way too personal it is not their business, like when a survey comes on asking about my money business, it is easier to just say  i prefer not to answer and then go on.  If i get to  to do the survey fine, if i get knocked off oh well i just don't like to give out some information.

How do you check the survey whether it is from India?

Yeah, cheap labor. Just like "support" calls or "chat support" at websites often have foreign names. If the name is not foreign, often the person talks, email, "chats" like English is not the first language.

Had a problem with a very prominent malware protection site recently. They accidently cancelled my payment for renewal because they were careless and did not double check the info I gave them. Two of the three had very unusual first names.

It was not fixed. Not sure what I am going to do about it.

I installed an add on to my browser and it tells where the server is based on every website I visit.

I knew that on the chat.  You can tell by the way they talk on chat.  The grammar is like you said - as if English is something they have been exposed to only once.  haha

This is interesting being they get their surveys overseas and Fusioncash is only available in U.S. and Canada :peace:
