I always do it gradually.    I began a day or two before New Years Day.   I enjoy it so much and if I do it gradually it takes away the sadness of taking it all down.   All inside is boxed up and ready to be put in the attic.  A few outside decorations are gone but the lights on the house still have to come down.   We don't turn them on anymore but waiting to get the down when our adult son comes to help.   My husband isn't in the same good health he was years ago and our son said to just leave them and wait for him, he'll get them down.

I used to leave everything in place when the kids were young until after "Greek Christmas" which is today, the 7th. My in-laws always celebrated that day even though my father-in-law was Ukrainian, so I thought I would keep it going even though we aren't Greek.

Now that everyone is in their 40s, I don't decorate anymore. There's no fun in it. We do have lights outside under the eaves that are left up all year long and are only turned on Christmas Eve and Christmas day.

To be honest, no. We have been a little tired and lazy lately.

I didn't have any decorations up, but I did do my dining room table with Christmas tablecloths etc.  I put it away the day after Christmas.

I was sick Christmas day and did not get to have my family over.  I still have my tree up and planning on having everyone over when I get to feeling better.  :)

yes we finally got everything down last week.   Its been really cold and raining so couldn't get the  outdoor stuff down but finally had one  day and we scrambled and got it all down.  then we worked on the inside the other day and got it all down.  I don't mind the inside stuff being up,,,  its pretty and I love looking at it.    But I guess it all has to come down sometime :)
