There are other ways to share photos.

I have Instagram but I hardly use it.  I mostly use FB.  Some of my friends are on SnapChat...but i dont.

i have one but i got it because my granddaughters are on there..i can post pics to them..and check in with them...they are 12 and 15...the 15 yr old has no interest in fb..says its too much drama for her..

I have an Instagram account; however, I don't own a smartphone so I don't use it very often.  My son has posted some incredible photos of places he's been on Instagram.

I use Instagram.
I only have family members on it.   It's an easy way to see photos while I wait in lines or have a few moments to spare.   I like it because it is photos & it is quick & easy.    I rarely post, but I should post more often because I can see an archive of the events I have attended & experienced, fond memories to be remembered... quickly. 
I love seeing what the kids post too...  my kids, and the other extended family kids. Just photos, no nonsense.

I'm such a nerd.  I signed up for Instagram to get deals or something with some company.  Then I found out after the fact I could only use it if I had a smart phone.  Well since I don't have one of those it was redundant.  I probably could get on there just fine with laptop but it hasn't bothered me not to get on so figured I'd leave it at that.

I use it from time to time. I can go weeks or even a couple months without using it, and then use it more often, then go back to not posting. It's not hard to use when you understand the basics, but it can be hard sometimes to get away from the superficiality...
