I was wondering if the modern day ground-hog takes into consideration how mankind is polluting the earth based on his forecast!!!

So far the Groundhog has been right. It hasn't stopped snowing in the past few days!

a few years ago as I was listening to the radio,
the announcer recited both poems.
We were wishing to hear the one for Spring that goes like this:
"there is no shadow to be cast.
an early Spring is my forecast."

The poem for 6 more weeks of winter goes like this:
"yes a shadow I see.
Six more weeks of winter will be."

groundhog day is my favorite day of the year...at least in the top three! My son was born on Groundhog day and is one of three people that totally rock my world!  My daughter was born on April thirtieth and my wife on April third-neither one associated with a holiday other than the celebration of having them in my life and being blessed with another year to share with them. I came from a part of Wisconsin where we find something to celebrate just about every day. Tomorrow is huge, generally, but my wife and I are having a bit of a disagreement. I indicated that I would be working out of the office from six in the morning until ten tomorrow night in answer to not being treated properly. May be the first Valentine's day that we skip in twenty three years of marriage.
