A couple years back, they put on a tv show about which said "kind" of diet works the best. Atkins, slimfast, just counting calories, ect. And I can't remember what the title of the show. It was about groups of people put on each weight lost program, They found out all these program work, at first one kind lost first, than other program caughtup but at the end of the time limit goal they all work. The foods that jenny craig or weight watchers, etc their foods are made with extra refined flour, egg whites, getting more of the fats out of foods and than maybe putting in the fat burning vitamins ingredients, special foods that are proportion correctly for you.  They all say to drink water and exercise but they all work.

As A matter of fact I'm starting a diet with a friend From ND this morning its a 21 day  Paleo of  sorts diet i've done before, and it's always giving me a 14 pound weight drop, some times even more and its great to kick off a longer run.

The only "diet" that ever worked for me was one in which I kept track of everything I put in my mouth.  I logged a food or snack when I ate it, stayed within a 1200 calorie model, monitored the carbs, sugars and fats and lost weight.  Of course, it was weight loss that didn't happen overnight - about 1-2 pounds a week.  But all in all, a sane way to "diet"!!

I'll tell you straightforwardly.  The best program that has ever worked for me is to eat more healthily, eat smaller portions, and move a lot more.  Until the last 10 years, my weight has always been pretty stable and easy to take off a few pounds.  Don't bring foods into the house that you tend to binge on.  And walk, walk, walk.  Lift weights.  They don't have to be heavy.  The combo of eating more healthy, eating a bit less, and cardio and muscle building is key.  About 8 years ago I really got into this mindset and 13 pounds literally fell off me. But don't think it will happen in a hurry.  It took almost 7-8 weeks before it seemed like my metabolism really kicked in and the weight started to steadily go down.

I'm not on a paid program but I am eating mostly healthy foods and working out 3-4 days a week.

Anyone currently on a weight lost program that is helping he or she to lose weight?

Couldn't agree more. While exercise is great, most weight loss will happen as a result of eating better. I'm extremely active and the only time I ever lost weight was when I started paying more attention to what I was eating.

Calling anything a diet is not a great idea. To lose weight and be able to maintain it is a LIFESTYLE, not a temporary change.

Not on a program but try to eat healthy and exercise 4x a week.  My daughter is in school to become a dietitian so she is always watching what we eat and telling me what not to buy

You don't need a weight loss program to lose weight. Be honest to yourself. Eat less, work out more. How difficult is that
