Animal Cruelty Investigators
« on: March 12, 2017, 08:10:45 pm »
As I was listening to Fox News tonight.....

I learned that Utah now has 2 Animal Cruelty Investigators; partly because, a cat named Sage was horribly tortured and abused within the past month.

The cat was able to crawl home; however, he passed away shortly after arriving at the veterinarian office.

Animal Control offered a $5000 reward to anyone providing information so the abuser can be caught.  The reward amount has now increased to $47,000 because anonymous donors have also chosen to donate to this worthy cause.

It's disturbing to think that someone would be willing to abuse animals.

What are your thoughts about all this?
Have a great day!

I think the reward money should be put to a worthy cause to save more abused animals.I guess ASPCA comes to mind.Of course you always hope the element of greed doesnt overshadow the good the money will be used for.

Why should we be surprised some of mankind kills innocent animals. We drop atomic bombs on cities, fly planes into buildings,etc........

It will never end until God puts an end to this manmade/satanic system....in the meantime maybe some of us can still save some animals and people by doing the right thing while we have to exist in it.

And yes,the people or person that killed that cat,and any other animal abusers should be punished!

ASPCA  ??  If you call them and really get into the call you will find out they are only on the East Coast  as in New York and New Jersey  they do send rescue to places like floods areas. I spent hours on the phone with animal rescue places a month or so back, over chicken fighting and by the end of my phone calling I was so upset I had to give up.  I even Called the FBI and no one cared. Every place I called the only thing they wanted from me was a cash donation and could care less about what I was really calling about.  After that ordeal I will never send them money again, so in closing I called my local shelter and was told they only excepted certain types of dry dog food and pro plan wasn't on the list... ????  I think a hungry dog would find pro plan acceptable...?? But I guess the dogs here where I live eat finer than  mine!

They are so innocent, like children. They didn't ask to be here. Give them to a good loving family. Of course, in the child situation, there is a bigger process to adoption. :monkey:

Capital punishment is the only answer to animal abuse.  That may be an overstatement in the heat of the moment.  But what is wrong with people who hurt those who can't defend themselves.  And their own pets?  God help us.

Anyone who abuses an animal is sadly, nothing more than an "animal" themselves and I pray they are caught and dealt with severely.  Maybe put them in a cage with a poor animal that has been abused and let that animal have his revenge!!!

I am always skeptical about donating.I mentioned ASPCA cos i see the commercials on TV late at night.Truly heart-wrenching and sad.I am all for any organization that will use the money and treat the animals the right way.Its like getting a reference on a Dr or a dentist.....LOL!

That's insane, people who aren't pet lover's shouldn't even have them, and for them to torture a cat is totally unforgivable.

I haven't heard about the abuse to the poor cat, but I feel that abusers should be tortured like they tortured the poor defenseless animals. Such sick people in this world!

I think EVERY state needs these Investigators.  Two for the entire state just doesn't seem enough to me!  They need to toughen the penalties for animal abuse.  Felonies with stiff fines and jail time.  Most people who do horrible things to animals just get a slap on the wrist.  I say turn them over to people who love animals, let us take care of them!  An eye for an eye!

I can NEVER express enough to people to keep their pets INDOORS.  Why have a pet if you let it roam the neighborhood?  Would you let your kids roam the neighborhood alone where they just may run in to someone who has nothing better to do but get off on torture?  I hope they catch whoever did that to that poor cat, and I hope he/she suffers immensely.

I feel very bad for the animals that are treated cruelly and tortured, and yes there should be a law against it, and i believe there is. But what about all of the baby's that are aborted.  I have one question so here it is. Why do some people feel so bad for the animals and not the  aborted baby's? I know several people that have ranted and raved about the poor animals and yet on the other hand are supporting abortions.

Vicki, most that support abortions are blind. They dont view the fetus as a life.Plus they have the mom more in mind if she doesnt want the child.

And the other part of your post is there are people that value animals more then humans.

God even tells us we are worth more then 2 sparrows.

Getting back on topic, maybe for now if laws for animal cruelty were enforced as much as drunken driving is now some might think twice before abusing the poor creatures.
