Earth Hour
« on: March 25, 2017, 10:14:22 am »
Today is Earth hour day. Everyone is suppose to turn off all of their electricity at 8:30pm to 9:30pm to show their support to end global warming. I hope I remember later.

Really? I never knew about that. I don't think I'll even be home at that time so I wonder if that counts. My family probably won't turn off the electricity though.

I forgot to turn off all the power. I fell behind on my paper for school so I had the computer on. I also started cooking late, around 7 pm. I will try to remember next year.

And God said, "Let there be light," and there was, and mine stayed on since global warming is a myth.

Never heard of that! I am not one who is wasteful of electricity anyways because it's money given away in my opinion but that is neat to know that it is Earth hour day. Thank you.

I found out about it too late!  I read up on it today and probably would have gone all day without electricity if I had known (except my computers which I need to make cash). I try to conserve every chance I get. I am usually the first one up and the last one asleep so I go throughout the house turning all of the lights off. I also unplug my computers and screens when I go to bed because I hear that they still consume energy when plugged in-even if they are not on or running.  I also try to drive my scooter as much as possible to keep from burning a lot of gas (part of it is because I am cheap as well). I have set my goal for riding my bike too and from work ten times this year. I recycle aluminum (cheap thing again) and always drink from the same water and coffee cups.
