I go to church quite a bit not just on Easter.  Some people just want to show off a new outfit and I'm not into that.

Just because you wear a new dress on Easter does not mean you are showing off.  Years ago we were visiting different churches and went to a church for the first time on Easter.  And the preacher made some pretty rude and talking down to comments to people who came to "his" church dressed up.  We did not know it was a liberal wear your go to the park or theme park clothes church.    Needless to say we never went back.

I have always believed you should dress your best, whatever your best is, when you go to God's house.  Yes, we always got a new dress for Easter.  We were not showing off and it was nothing really expensive.  Although for us it kind of was because we didn't have a lot of money.

Personally, I hate seeing people walk in to church with shorts and flip flops on.  I feel you should put some effort in to going to God's house.

I don't go to church every Sunday but I like to go. I may or may not go for Easter Sunday. I guess I basically go when I feel like going. When I don't go I do watch the service on TV.

As long as I'm not scheduled to work I will be in church Easter Sunday.  It's no different than any other Sunday for that matter.  When I was growing up my Dad voiced his frustration one year in regard to people who only came to church on Easter. We were faithful.  My parents and there 4 surviving children at attending service.  We had our own pew.  "The Thompson's row".  Everyone knew that's where we sat.  We were never on time as my mother is always late everywhere to make a grand appearance.  When our seats were taken and we ended up sitting in the nursery... he grumbled how this just isn't right. One of only a handful of times I ever heard my father complain.

Used to go to Church all the time and went to Catholic School growing up with church every morning.  Till our priest was caught in a huge cover up in a sex abuse case. And I found out the money i donated to buy bibles for the kids was used for a x-mas party for the school staff!
