crowded restaurants
« on: April 17, 2017, 06:29:51 am »
for Easter, the restaurant I went to with my relatives was extremely crowded.
we did make a reservation which helped us.
some restaurants were not taking reservations for five people.

My daughter works for a large national chain restaurant in Florida.  They were very busy on Easter Sunday.  We rarely ever go out to eat on holidays - that's often a home cooked meal occasion, but I suppose many people do like to take a break from cooking on those special days.

As far as crowded resteraunts, the more the marrier. The background noise of conversation and, well, I guess good economy, makes you want to eat....it's like, if there are more people there, you feel like no one is watching. So you can stuff your face.
Oh, yeah. Did not go out to eat fot Easter. Bet it was crowded.

I actually find the opposite to be true.  Often times the 'background noise of conversation' can easily become people talking so loud that I can hear their conversation from three tables away.  Conversely, my wife often speaks in a quieter voice during dinner conversation at a restaurant and I usually have to ask her to repeat herself at least a handful of times over dinner because I cannot hear her.

For a number of years, the family went to Cracker Barrel for Easter... it was always SUPER busy and I always wished I was elsewhere, but when the family all want to go, who am I to poop the party!  ???  ;)

I hate when restaurants are super crowded. It makes it noisy and I dislike waiting to be seated. I prefer a more relaxing dining experience.

We just cooked and ate at home for Easter. I don't really like big crowds because I have bad anxiety.

We try to stay home on the Holidays because it is usually too busy. Plus family time is better. When you go out you just order, talk til food comes, eat and leave. Not really a lot of quality family time.

My sister in law made a good ham dinner. I would prefer to eat at home on the holidays even if it was just lunch meat sandwiches. My sister in law is a wonderful cook.

You want a few other people in a restaurant - dining in a dead restaurant is awkward especially when the staff stands around watching for every time you take a sip of water so they can refill your glass - but a really crowded noisy place isn't my cup of tea. If I can't have a conversation without shouting no thanks (especially when dining with someone I don't know really well).
