Tried the Crowdflower Tasks
« on: May 08, 2017, 12:22:42 pm »
Hmmmm....wouldn't get out of Quiz Mode the other day. Said my accuracy  wasn't good. I followed directions to the letter though, so I don't see the problem.  :cat: :dog: ??? :glasses-nerdy:

Some tasks are much easier than others. Did you try more than one type of task?

Have the same problems with the crowdflower tasks, its always the same thing accuracy is too low, how can you get it to be better, I follow the rules and do the tasks and still its not changing. Welcome to FC.

I agree with ladavia89, some tasks are easier than others.   I work tasks most every day.  There are some where I did as you said, followed directions to a tee and still got the "accuracy too low" message.   I then just skip those type tasks.  It's always interesting to me that in the ratings some folks give high marks to the tasks I can't do.   But there is always a few easy ones to complete.

I cannot say for sure, but I think it's more the problem of the task authors. You can tell by the way things are worded that English is a second language for some of them. So, that comes into play.

Those with the weird wording of English are the ones that I do not do well on.

The others ones I do fine. However, I have a love/hate relationship with Crowdflower.

You can follow the rules to the letter, and still flunk out. Sometimes, I actually think they do it just to tick people off. There is no other way to explain it.

Anyway, try looking each day for the ones that are about 50 cents; those are surveys, and are fun and easy with no quiz mode.

I seem to be stuck on Level 2 due to those aforementioned crappy jobs.

There are very simple tasks like googling something and just answer couple of questions on it.  you can make 8 cents.  If you click on a task and you find yourself having too many problems just hit the give up button and try something different.  Giving up will not affect your accuracy.  Just make sure to read all instructions and take your time.

I hated it when they decided you have to complete and pass one on "quiz mode" for free, before you can do another for pay. So when I finally get 1 out of quiz mode, I stick with it until I've done them all or get disqualified. But for the most part, I've had pretty good success with the tasks. I look for ones that are actually surveys, they pay well and you can't get it wrong!

I don't think it's us. I think it's the task. Sometimes I can do a task several times and it will keep giving me 100% accuracy.

Sometimes it will tell you which ones are incorrect and you can challenge that, but they'll change your score as you go.

Then you'll get the ones that just say, "Your accuracy is too low" with no criteria as to why. I hate that. It hurts my widdle feelings.  :'(

I had found sticking to the surveys or the research studies was the best way to proceed with Crowdflower.  I had enough when they gave an example and then one of the tasks was exactly like the example so I answered as per the instructions and it was wrong resulting in a fail.  But since they wanted access to your Facebook account I don't have the option of their surveys, which I do miss since the video supple has been horrid

It does the same thing to me, says my accuracy is too low, you have to read the instructions to see how to do the task, right? And once i get started, and do them, at the end it says i had too many wrong, but they don't tell you what you have wrong, so, what's the point in doing them, if they won't tell you what you did wrong.

I have tried to get into this several times, but it tells me my password is wrong.  I'm not sure what I used when I first signed up for this.
