Referrals
« on: May 27, 2017, 04:06:27 am »
I know this has been discussed before but here goes ...

Some people on here claim to have hundreds of referrals.  Some fewer but as many as 20 or so.  I am curious as to how you are getting them?  I have a website and according to their stats they send me I am getting hits.  I have my link for this and some other sites listed but do not get any referrals.  SO either my host is lying to me about how many hits I get (lol) or people see the site name and just come here directly without following my link.

I have sent the link directly to several people (family, friends) and have had ONE person join but she never does anything.  Cashed out one time several months ago.  I think she got frustrated with being scammed out of pay on surveys and just totally gave up.   ::)

I posted a link to another site on Facebook and a cousin joined by going directly to the site (did not use my referral link) and then posted her link on Facebook asking people to join thru her link.  lol.

And I do not know of any bigger sites that get a ton of hits where they will let you post your link on their web site.

I wish you all the luck in the world. I have have a blog that I keep updated, have all my referral links to all the sites Im a member at, from this blog I will get a few referrals now and again, BUT GPT sites are always the worse for me, they may join, and never do anything, I guess because they dont understand how the sites work, nor want to take the time to learn. Everyone wants instant money.

As for FC I dont even try to get referrals, because the site has been around for so long that I figure if someone is going to sign up they have already.

I know Some people will come along, and say it IS possible, but those people have a following, those people have had the same people following them around for years to all the sites and sign up under their referral links on any sites they belong to. Im sure several of those people will come along and post here that its possible yada yada

Now and again when Im bored, I will spend a few minutes surfing, so I advertise my blog on a traffic exchange, and will get a new referral every blue moon

True.  I saw where someone started a thread once and she needed money like NOW and asked how can I do that?  I said "get a job" lol.  You are correct.  Every one wants instant money and they want it free.  I have a full time job and I do this for extra money which goes toward bills.  Surely they understand how the sites work.  I think they just don't want to put forth the effort.  These type sites are not easy money.

And I agree.  I have had one guy on here tell me how it is super easy to get referrals and if I don't then I just am not trying. lol  I have sent the link to several friends and told people about it but most either I guess are not interested or they sign up on their own.  Some people do not want to help someone else make money.

A good example, I have a cousin who was wanting to switch banks and come to the one I went to.  I ask him to put me as a referral and he said what do you get out of it.  I said well if your account is in good standing for 30 days then I get $25.  He said what did he get out of it.  I said nothing.  He laughed at me and said then why would I do it.  And all I could think was "what a jerk you are".  Two other family members did put me as a referral though. :)  A lot of people are the same way with sites like this.  Or they think they money comes out of their earnings.  smh.

I have a website and a blog but do not do much on the blog as no one ever looks at it.  I have even sent the link to people and can see that it gets no hits.  I need to check out this "traffic exchange" you speak of.  Never heard of that.  I need to figure out how to get more traffic to my site.  And then get people to join thru my links.

Maybe my problem is I am honest.  I do not pump sunshine up their butt.  I tell them straight up you will not get rich doing this.  You will not earn thousands of dollars working 20 minutes a day.  That is just not going to happen.

But one referral on here will get you around $8 I think and then $5 every time they cash out.  If you had 5 people who worked at it and cashed out every month that alone is $25 plus what you earn yourself.  So that could really add up.  Idk.

I dont know if traffic exchanges are all that great, Some will say they are a waste of time, and to each their own.  But it has gotten me a few referrals in the past to the sites I belong to

Traffic exchanges, are where you have to "surf" (look at other peoples sites), to earn a few credits to advertise your own site. It does take time to surf, but you could always try it and see what you think.

ClickVoyager is one Ive been a member of for a long time

As for that cousin who asked whats in it for him? Your right, what a jerk, Id of said how about your family, and help me out. Next time he wants something, ask him whats in it for me? LOL!

I have a cousin like that too :( She wont do anything to help anyone, unless she gets something out of it too. And she will remember and remind you that she helped you out etc. Shes not beyond asking people for free stuff either. But that is another story and Im getting off topic.

Anyways I hope you get some good information here, and no one comes along and in a condescending manner

As long as I've been on here I've never had referrals.  FC claims that's the fastest and easiest way to make money on this website but the trouble is with all the spam, people will see the link and just assume it's one of those so I don't bother.  Whatever I make, I make.  I can't rely on others to make it for me.

I am not wanting to rely on others to make anything for me.  Like I said for every referral you get $8 to start with and then every time they cash out you get $5 again.  That can really help out.  I have done good on surveys the past couple of weeks but had not been able to cash out for 3 months because I didn't qualify for anything.  I had not seen where it said that is the fastest way to make money.

And I don't see it as spam.  You cannot send your link to people you do not know.  That can get your account shut down.  If you send it to people you know then you should have talked to them and they know it is not spam.  As for the links on my personal website I explain what each site-link is and how to earn money on the site.  So it is not like the referral links sent out are sent to 100,000 people and end up in junk folders.

I haven't actively tried to recruit referrals in several years.  Not worth my time and effort.  You might get one or two very actives ones the rest might try for a short time then fall off. I focus in making the money I can and not relying on referrals.

I agree with that.  But having just a couple of referrals could really help.  Seems when I do really good for a month or so then the next month I don't qualify for the surveys.  It is almost like I am making to much money and have to be slowed down. haha.  I know a while back I was making close to $70 for a couple of months then the next month I could not even get up to $10.  Hoping to make it to $60 for this cash out.  :)  But it has taken til this month to even get up to the cash out level.  : (

There is no magic formula that works for everyone, but if you find what works for you and keep doing it long enough you will get them. No they won't all be productive, but I made another $3 this week from a new one signing up and doing an offer, so I will keep trying.

I think the biggest step may be to promote my website more but I am not sure how to do that.    It is just hard to get people interested.  And like someone else mentioned most people are convinced sites like this are a scam.  I have even seen where FC is listed on scam sites.  Clearly it is not.  I have made over $1100.  And anyone can see that on my banner.  And the other banners.  So it is not like we are lying. lol.  And no one on here claims to make $8000 a month. hahahaha    I guess I just get frustrated.  I am pretty sure I have probably gotten some people to join this site.  They just went directly to the site instead of joining thru my referral link.  And some people may be goofy enough to think the $5 I get when they cash out comes out of their earnings.

I completly know how you feel about that
when i refer people they usually end up not using my refeal link..
I got the two referals .. and they quit.. the rest tell me they use the site..
but regardless of that.. i do not have them as a referal..
makes me angry because i would love to boost up my funds a bit quicker with those.. but
hardly can because they choose not to use my link..

I got away from trying to earn with FC lately cos i dislike their rule of qualifying earnings must be certain amount over bonus.

But gonna get into it again.

I don't have any problems with that.  My only issue is not getting paid after you complete the task, survey, or what ever.
