My birthday actually falls on Memorial Day, so I think my family and I will figure out something nice to do to celebrate. I have my eyes on the frozen yogurt shop down the road, haha, and maybe a day at the park or something, provided it doesn't storm!  Happy Memorial Day!

Was planning to cook outdoors on the grill and have children and grandchildren over. However, now we are going to have 80 percent chance of rain. So we will all have lunch together indoors.

We had an awesome Memorial day weekend! Friday night was spent with a friend from Georgia. Saturday was spent with a friend from New York and Georgia. Sunday was a great family day. Hung with the kids all day and watched a scary movie called "The Ring" (with a gigantic pizza and ice cream). Sunday our health club had it's annual Memorial Day extravaganza with free hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, beer, and margaritas. There were close to three hundred people there engaging in various contests: splash dives, swim races, hula hoops, limbo bars, and three legged races to name a few. My kids are old enough to drive, not old enough to drink, and were happy to cart us around. We went to the neighbors, in the evening, for another barbecue.

To the few people that replied and to the many that didn't, did remembering those who died for this country and others come into any thought across your brain at some time during this solemn, sacred day?  Just take a moment to think about those who died for us and where you might be now if they didn't
