Have you ever had a boss that yells at everybody?

How do you handle this? Stay or look elsewhere?

I used to have a boss like that. Only he's been spoon fed for the rest of his life. Not that I did or anyone did anything else to him. He was involved in a car accident and has changed his life forever. He's paralyzed from the neck down his spine and only made slow speeches now. I don't know if it was fate but non of his previous employee wants a visit him. It's been like 20 somethings years since it happened. I think sometimes people need to realize how precious relationship with family and others. Don't take for granted that opportunity because one day it is going to be taken away from you in a heart beat. treat people with respect!

Sometimes you do not have a choice.  I am putting up with something right now because I do not have a choice.  I am looking for another job but until I can find something else I have to put up with the crap going on

Yes.  I had a supervisor who would yell at everyone.  She did it to me one day.  This was only an extra part-time job for me, so I got another part-time job and quit.  I eventually went back to the original one and from that time on she never yelled at me again.

In the past I had worked for 2 bosses (one male and one female) who bellowed at the employees all the time. The first time occurred when I was still a student attending university. I lasted less than a week working for the male employer. I felt a moment of relief when I got out of there. As for the female employer, I lasted only 2 weeks which was probably back in late 2011 to early 2012. I had to call it quits. Working for these wretched employers gives me cancer.

Honestly, that sounds like a boss, but not a manager. A manager knows how to treat employees. A boss just sends orders.

I wouldn't mind if he or she yelled at everyone in public cuz everyone get's it in a group setting! What I wouldn't tolerate is the boss yelling at me alone in front of everyone! Now that kind of treatment from the boss is basically abuse!

i had one who did this to everyone..not me because i wouldnt take it..but everyone else,he did..it was a power trip for him..he would have them crying..i told them that was what he wanted..told them not to give in to him..stand up for your rights....he was eventually fired because of this...

yes when I worked for chik fila. I usually ignored his yelling and tried to get through my shift. its hard to do. I took a bit later and found another job.

Yes, that's why he can't hire anybody to work for him and turnover is high.

I would not stand for a boss yelling at me.  We are adults. If you have a problem with me, then we go into a conference room to work it out.  Where I worked they knew better than to pull BS like that.

I have not.  What to do in that situation?  That's too much of a personal question.  It depends on so many things to the specific situation.  Only you can answer that question.
