Scam Survey
« on: July 05, 2017, 09:12:52 am »
I don't know any other way to describe this survey. It advertised for $1.40 and was about charities. The woman was a Dr. Ada (can't recall last name). She said that she would donate to my selected survey after it was over. This survey included puzzles such as find words, and to determine the differences between two pictures.

When it was over, I was disqualified.

I don't know why, but this one hit me hard because my charity was the ASPCA. I don't like being lied to, and I don't like being scammed.

NOT HAPPY.

You know I figured out what they were doing. Toward the end of the survey, they asked me if I were willing right now to donate to my charity and how much. I input that I would donate and entered a modest amount.

I think the Dr. running the survey is lying. SHE is not donating anything; she is taking our earnings for that survey and either keeping it OR donating that to the charity.

That's very strange. I never had a survey like that being asked to donate to charity at the end of survey. I would never do a survey asking me to send money or pay to take a survey which is a sign of red flag. You should never have to pay to take surveys as they should be free.

I've never seen this type of survey either... I would have gone to the site of my charity and donated there rather then thru the "survey"... not sure if you were scammed or just dq'd, but still won't risk it by donating thru the survey

I did this exact same survey and also did not receive credit! It was a Your Survey I believe.
I thought it was an odd survey but was looking forward to the survey payout lol

 :'( :'( :'(

Sorry to hear that you felt like that!!
I have gone thru many surveys and have never donated to anyone online, but yes i do donate to people/ companies and organizations. I am not saying that all online are fakes/ scammers but i do know that you have to watch out. Yes i have and still go thru 20 mins or more doing online surveys and then i am disqualified earning or getting nothing. It happens, so my suggestion is to don't take it to personal. Hope this helps !

I do not remember this exact one but I have had it happen when I got similar type surveys such as the academic ones and I went through the entire survey, got the submit and did so only to get the Not Qualified.

Vaguely, I believe that i did the one you are describing and had the same result but it was some time back.

ASPCA   :-\ :-\    I tried to get help from these people when I uncovered a chicken fighting ring on facebook, they do not do all they claim to do, First off,  they are New York Based and when you call them , all they want is that 19.00 bucks a month and your credit card number for the months to follow, the person i talked to could not tell me who to contact.   She also told me they fund New York and New Jersey Only  and only help other states when there are like floods or a tornado.  I was shocked by what I heard, and after looking more stuff up found out that the CEO is being paid a cool 600,000.00 plus a year. Seems to me that money should be going to the animals and not some person with a lavish life style.

I had one like this (or maybe this one) come up a while back and as soon as it started talking this song & dance about donating I just closed out.

Our local ASPCA steals dogs and then you need to pay $30 to get them back. It happened to us.  They also lie when you ask where they were found. Our dog was on a chain and the chain nor the clip was broke yet he was gone when we went out to get him. When he broke his chain he would always come to the house, not run away. They said they found him 10 miles away. LIARS!

They also lied to my 11-year-old when we had puppies that got loose from their fenced area. We had 2 left out of 21 (mom was a real breeder when she was caught by a male!). Anyway, they came and took the pups and had our son SIGN papers turning the pups over to them or they would arrest us and put us in jail. Those pups were promised, too. We were holding them until the weekend.  It scared him so he signed. I went after them but they said they had to euthanize them because they were sick. Another lie because they were at the vets for their 6-week vaccines and chekup and none were sick. Two weeks later, their photos appeared in the paper up for adoption!

There are other stories just like this around here. I offered to testify at one court case involving a case just like it and there is another lawsuit pending against them for the same thing.

I would never, EVER donate to that bunch of liars.  I turn the channel whenever I see any commercials for the ASPCA. How kind they are to give you a T-shirt for your $19/mo. That's $228 a year you're giving them. Take that times at least a couple million people and not including those who give more than that through their generosity, and don't forget the fees they get for adoption. They probably make billions a year.

For years I gave to North Short Animal League because they don't euthanize and truly help the animals but  I had to stop this year because SS doesn't stretch that far anymore. :(

Did you finally get in touch with some other agency about the chicken fighting ring? Usually your local animal services is the one to get in touch with.

sfreeman:

Not to sound harsh, but in this day and age, you should know better than to keep your dog on a chain. It's cruel. Take your dog inside the house or create an area for him/her to run around.

Also, you should not be breeding puppies. Do you have ANY idea how many dogs/cats are euthanized for no other reason than to make room for others? We are talking about entire litters of puppies/kittens still nursing, and whose lives are snuffed out because people like you keep breeding them to make a few bucks. Seriously, volunteer at a kill shelter on a day when they euthanize and see all of them lined up as if they are sleeping, and all dead.

And if you let your animals out and leave them unattended, no one is stealing anything.

I work on the other side of this by fostering animals who don't have homes.

Animal shelters are usually non-profit and not making millions per year. Adoption fees are only to cover licensing, spay/neuters, medical care, etc.

You need to come into the 21st century. YOU, not the ASPCA are the problem, and frankly, you SHOULD be arrested for continually breeding your dog without care as to what it does to her, and no care for the lives you bring into this world.

SHAME ON YOU.

I know that this is not the forum to discuss this, but I will not stand by while you complain about an animal group when it's obvious that your animals are simply a way to make money, and it is your own ignorance causing you problems.

YOU and people like you are the reason there are animal groups in the first place.
