In Ca you just have to be 65 to get food from food banks. We sometimes get it my husband is 66 and we live on his S.S. we have  a good housepayment .Look into services they are out there.

I worked most of the time since I graduated in 1960.  I retired from my job I had in a factory in 2003.  Well I found I could not live on SS so I went to Walmart and got a people greeter.  I worked there for 13 years and when I broke my shoulder nearly 3 years ago and 10 months later I fell and broke my femur bone and had to have surgrey and had to have a rod put in my leg.  I was in the nursey home nearly 7 weeks taking threpy.  I stayed out of work for 11 weeks that time and when I went back to work I knew I I would not be working long.  I could not hardly make it through the day till I went home.  I had to hang in there 1 and 1/2 years till I got my car paid off and could get enough money saved back so I could afford to stay home.  The money is going to be tight but it is working out good.  Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

I'm so happy that you are able to retire, hope it works out for you. Perhaps the extra money you get from fusion cash will help you out a bit. I've heard a lot of stories of people retiring and going back to work after realizing that they don't have enough to live off from. I suppose I will never fully retire as I will continue work on my business.

Thanks everyone for the comments.  I am doing good on the money spending.  I will have enough to last a long time if I don';t have to many things that could go wrong.  After I get some much needed rest I am going to make peach fried pies and sell them.  I have done good with them in the past.  All I need is to make a couple or 3 hundred extra a month.  I can make that.  I have just rested since I retired.  I am a Christian and have always leaned on my faith.  I hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

     Bones fractures and other health problems happen to many seniors.
For extra income try to make and sell some arts and crafts. Or work online.
