Saudi Arabia
« on: July 18, 2017, 07:55:03 pm »
In Saudi Arabia a woman has been arrested for wearing a mini skirt and crop top. They have religious police out in force and she became known through a post.Their Muslim religion forbids wearing this kind of clothes. Some have blamed her saying she new what the consequences would be. Its unbelievable to me. CNN had the story and probably other news  stations.

I saw that on the news.  I think you should be allowed to wear short skirts and tops like she did, but in that country there are very strict rules on what you wear.  Not sure why she would ever wear that in public knowing what the consequences are.

I didn't hear about this but like you said, she knew what the consequences of wearing such outfits would be because she lives in a country where women are property, not human beings.

She probably thought she could push other women to do the same, a protest, hoping to wake the rest of the women up to realizing they are being treated like property. Maybe there was supposed to be a lot more women joining her but got scared of the consequences from their husbands.  It seems the women minds are so ingrained that they way they are treated is normal, but I bet if they wore less clothing, they'd also realize black is not the clothing of choice in such a hot climate. :)

That's "Sharia Law" for you. What scares me is the liberal dunderheads that want to support it in our country.

That is their religion, Islam, and point of view for politics and everything else....justification they believe.

I saw her in a video walking.....what happened to her? Was she a tourist or a resident?

Well, she DID know what the consequences would be.  I don't know about SA but if you look at the laws in some of the middle eastern countries the law is pretty strict on women especially.

I wish they would make a law that you could go to jail if you wear your pants around your knees in this country.  I do not need to see your butt crack.

I doubt it.  People do not protest in these other countries like they do here.  And yes it is beat in to their heads from the time they are babies.  And most are okay with it.  They believe it is a sin for anything other than their eye *bleep* to show.

So many are immigrating from these countries, and they want to enforce their Sharia laws here....not live and thrive under our way of life that gives freedom.

Yet, much of America seems oblivious to how much of all this is going on.

We need to be alert to preserve the freedoms we have.
