Do you save your coin everyday or every week in a coin bank
at home for a rainy day? I use to everyday. I only empty my purse out
every once in  a blue moon.

I save all my change in a bank and then cash it in at the end of the year. It sometimes gets to be over 100 dollars.

I save every cent that I make but generally exchange it for a money order (which I get for free), exchange it for dollar bills or deposit it in the bank. This allows me to invest it quicker once a balance gets to twenty five dollars I transfer it to a brokerage account, money market account or peer to peer lending account for further investment. I have one savings account that I put fifty dollars into every month because it gives me better interest and cash bonuses every three to six months. The bonus period stops after two years at which time I will close the account and open a few others that pay cash bonuses. I try to split my pennies between several different income streams. My worst investment is paying seven point five percent which has me a little frustrated because it should be up around ten-definitely needs more attention.

I have some in a piggy bank, not enough to cash in, so I'll just keep adding on.

I save the quarters for the laundry....live in apt. bldg.

Everything else gets saved in a jar till there is enough to make it worth cashing in.

It adds up.

Yes, I have been trying to do the penny challenge. where you save a penny every day and each day you add a penny for the total.
Examples:
January 1st you save 1 penny
December 31st would be like 365 pennies.
July 24 was 205 pennies

It is suppose to add up to over $600 at the end of the year. So far I have only been able to save like $90 but that's pretty good for us as we normally aren't able to save anything.

I hardly ever have cash on me.  So when I do I spend up the coins so I don't have to lug em' around.  My husband does 90% of our budgeting, saving and investing.  So since we don't use cash often... we don't get change often and when we do if we were to save it... it would just be a few cents sitting around for nothing. However if I see change on the ground I pick it up.

I rarely have cash or coins in my pocket. I just use my credit union's debit card for everything

I don't understand! How can it be $600 at the end of the year if you put in 1 penny a day for the year? That's $3.65...  Or do you mean you add 2 pennies the 2nd day, 3 pennies the 3rd day, so on, so forth? Anyway, I do kind of save some change and cash, but also have to dip into it occasionally if I can't get to the bank. I have a "tin" I use to put cash in from various places, like sometimes I get a little tip at work, usually 50 cents or less. Or if I find coins on the ground, which actually happens quite frequently at work, I put them in it. Plus money I make, if it's cash, from a side business.

We have a 2" tall pickle jar and put all of our change in it, it is about 2/3rds. full now. I don't like  writing checks so I will take so much out of the bank every month and use it to  pay for groceries here in town and other things. What ever over  change  left at the end of the day goes in.  Usually when we do  cash it out we have anywhere from $200.00 to $500.00  in it. Nice to use on a road trip and we will this year.  What ever is left again will go right back into the jar for seed money.
