Trump Says Transgender People Can't Serve In Military

Is anyone really surprised when the Donald allows his own personal issues to pollute this country?  He's good at advertising the fact that he'll fire anyone who doesn't agree with him.  He's good at making us aware that he has a problem with Muslims and now....

he wants to ban a certain group of people from serving in the military? 

Where's the gratitude for their willingness to serve?

He's a pathetic individual and this has nothing to do with political affiliation.

I'd be concerned if they could. Gender dysphoria is a mental illness. It wasn't until the 60's that people started doing things to their body to resemble the opposite sex. Just because a guy turns his outie into an innie and got a boob job doesn't make him anything but a modified man.

This was a good decision on Trump's part. There are plenty of medical problems that make a person disqualified from serving, even relatively minor things like flat feet. Certainly, costly transgender surgery and medications would be a much bigger burden on the taxpayer, as well as cause a lot of disruption with time off for surgeries, etc. There's also the fact that not accepting your biological gender is really a mental disorder, and certainly mental problems should be a disqualification. Soldiers have to be a mentally and physically fit as possible if you want a strong capable military, and there should be no room for social experimentation and biology changes.  You also have morale issues, with women not wanting biological males in their bathrooms, even when they're pretending to be females. The whole thing is just one big mess. The transgender numbers are hugely inflated (if they're not, then we have a huge epidemic of mental disorder in this country!), especially in the military, just to confuse the issue.

Exactly. Anyway, Trump took the advice of his military advisers, so it's not like he dreamed this up to offend trans. So I guess you Trump haters can't say he doesn't listen to others.

Trump is an *bleep* and I don't believe anything that comes out of his mouth.  some people don't believe transgender people can serve in the military,,,  I think other wise but this is my own opinion.

I think that if money is the issue behind the dis-inclusion of people that are trans gender than money for *bleep* should be stopped as well. I seem to recall that the medical bill for trams genders was about eighty four million and the cost associated with *bleep* for military personnel was a tad over forty two million dollars. Withdrawing funding for smaller factions appears to be meeting with greater success than the big ticket promises that were given. Now the realization that Mexico won't pay for the wall has come to light (tic), the administration will have to start cutting back on programs that cost money everywhere. I wonder if we have to continue to pay, or offer severance pay, to all of the President's aides that seem to last six to fifteen days? At least the family is sticking together. The revolving door certainly provides a plausible excuse for nothing getting done.

This is true; I can't serve cause I have health issues, but what about those who are perfectly fit and healthy, but are denied just because they are transgender? How is that fair?

If people want to change their bodies, that's their choice, but I think that tax payer dollars should be focused on benefiting the country as a whole instead on an individual by individual basis.  I also want the soldiers to be focused on defending the country and anything that would distract from that would concern me.
