Cars 3, anyone see it?

I loved Owen Wilson as Lightning McQueen and have the first two Cars though I like the first one better since the second one is more on Mater as a James Bond spy car/tow truck.  As I watched it, I really did like the third one and enjoyed the idea of new cars with their technically beating the old ones but I have to say I was disappointed in the ending.  While I know cliché endings are old and tired I really was waiting for his win.  I think that would have sent a better message than 'you're old, admit it then pack up and get out of dodge.'  Age is a number but not an expiration.  The Redskins proved that with their Super bowl win against Miami Dolphins in '83.  John Elway proved it with his Super bowl back to back wins in '97 and '98.  I didn't mind him coaching Cruz but I would have liked to see McQueen beat Storm which he technically never does.  All that training, the whole movie in fact was for nothing.  He sends in Cruz.  His record, the last season before his retirement (which while he says he will not do, the credit pictures show otherwise), is his worst season ever.  What message is that?  Know when it’s time to cut your losses and leave?  Like I said I would have like to see him win, putting storm and that stupid car analysist who claimed the ‘numbers showed McQueen has had it’ in their place.  After the win, I would have liked to see him tell off Sterling then say he’s retiring and volunteer to mentor Cruz.  I mean at least prove he’s got one more good race in him so not to count him down and out.  Just because you’re old doesn’t mean you can’t kick it with a younger generation.  That I believe would’ve been a more positive message.  Needless to say, without the cliché ending, I’ll stick with the first two.

I did see it and i myslef was hoping ttho see lighting win  but am not sure if the head guys at the movie studios want to retire the character or if they are trying something else?

I haven't seen it. I wasn't interested in seeing it and now knowing how it ends, that sounds really disappointing.

The first two was funny but the third one really went below the bar even my nieces said it was boring and quit mid way from the movie to watch Youtube stuff Lol.
