Do we have to report the money we earn on this site on our taxes? Even if we just made $25?

Only if you make more than 600 dollars per year.... Not my case :D And in any case they would send you a W9 form to fill out.

It's receiving over $599 in a calendar year to receive a 1099

Technically you're suppose to report all income regardless of the amount or source on your tax return. Most people only report large amounts and/or if received a tax form for it

I had a certified public accountant who stated that if he knew about any income that I made he was supposed to claim it and that morally everyone should claim every cent that they make. I never went back to him. It is amazing how much I pay in taxes.  I got hit with an audit when I was nineteen. I was working as a waiter to pay for college and was told that I only needed to claim eight percent of my sales. Because the entire restaurant was audited it was found that the average amount claimed, by the wait staff, was about fourteen percent. Because I was six percent lower than everyone I was forced to pay the taxes on the six percent difference as well as pennies and interest. It ended up being a little over ten thousand dollars which I was given three years to pay off at an interest rate, on the outstanding balance, of close to twelve percent.

No most people don't make that. A lot of people can't manage to cashout every month so they're not going to average $50 a month to reach $600 in a calendar year

I would love to pay taxes when I hit $600.00 but the trouble is I'm only at $300 something.

I have heard it was 600.00. Seems that what everyone has stated as well. I surely do not have to worry about making that amount. I can't seem to cash out each month like I use to do. It's probably my own fault because I do not get on here as often as I use to.
