I'm feeling a little disappointed. There are some Disney movies on Netflix that I don't own (or can't access) otherwise. I use Netflix for far more than just Disney movies, but one of the great things about Netflix is that it provides a wide variety of movies I CAN see - including well-loved animations like those from Disney.

I don't know if all Disney properties will transfer over. Remember that they also own Star Wars and Marvel and I know some Marvel properties aren't transferring over right now. I guess we'll wait and see.

No effect on us since we do not have Netflix, but that will be an additional cost to customers that do and may want because they have children; perhaps they should re-think but I am sure with them money is the bottom line and like most corporations they care little about how it affects theirs customers pocketbook :(

I wish Disney wasn't so possessive of their stuff. It's (some of it) great stuff for sure, but surely they are raking in enough cash that they don't need to cause people the pain of yet another subscription.

Netflix has more selection, how much would Disney charge?

Nope, I will not subscribe. I'll just watch it on the web.
I pay for Netflix now but might switch to hulu, but oh well. Disney wont make or break my decision

Good news for me: the deal is only for the USA.  I'm in Canada so we're not affected!

They are a business.  They are in it to make money.  I am not sure why that is so hard to understand.  If people want the service they will pay for it.  It is a good move for Disney.  And they like every other company out there are in it for themselves.

No they aren't.  They will make more money.  You may not like it but they are not stupid for doing something to allow them to make more money.  I don't watch too much disney any more any way.  I don't like what they stand for and it has nothing to do with this particular move.

People will get over it.  It is like the boycotting them when they had the g-a-y kissing scene in the was it Cinderella movie?  Most of the people who "boycotted" them have already went back to watching them.  They know you will be back.  They know people will subscribe to this new service.
