Have to say the house is nice and quiet here on the pc ofcource. Now I know how my mother felt yeah come on over but   not to often. My cat hides the entire time and came out when they all left.Ok now I miss the baby little guy who is talking up a storm bragging I know but what ya gonna do.

You have to remember to appreciate family while you have them around.  Young ones grow up too quickly and soon get to a place where they don't want to have anything to do with their grand parents. you are right. great to have them around but quiet is also good.

The last time we had a family party at my house, there were five kids from 2-9yo chasing after my cat.  Poor cat ended up hiding under the bed while the kids circle around, trying to lure him out with toys and food.  Always fun to see everyone again but I (and my cat) sure do enjoy the quiet after everyone leaves :)

It is great spending time with little ones because they are lively and nonstop. Totally different when they leave. You need to have another get together soon.

I don't have kids but when I go over to my aunt's it's a mad house. My cousin, her husband, and 4 kids moved back in. Her husband just got out of the army and they're living there until they find a place of their own. They're always running around and screaming. Cute kids but wow.

Kids can get loud. However, if I could go back in time I would love to hear the noise of kids again. I would love the grandchildren to live with us but my husband would never allow that. Of course if there were some misfortune and they ended up with us he would accept it. When they all visit its so noisy and he is quick to mention to me after they leave how noisy they are.

My youngest is off to college, I'd give anything for those hectic days to come back. Nothing in the world sounds better to me than a 5 year old with a serious belly laugh.

Kids and grandkids and kids in general are so much fun to be with and around. But the peace and quiet of solitude is equally wonderful.

How nice to have just a little of each for balance.  :angel11:

It is very quiet when they leave, happy for them to go and in an hour ready to see them again.

I've heard that the reward for being a parent is getting to have grandkids.  Apparently, it is nice to have kids around but who can leave with their parents.  I look forward to that day someday because right now, my house is lowed and crazy.
