Would you rather live in the city or the country?

Country, 110%!  I live near Chicago and I like to visit the city, but I don't think I could live there with all the pollution and crowded streets and insane drivers.  The country is open and peaceful-definitely where I want to be.

I like living in the city, but I would love to have a home out by the lake in the country for weekends, a place to go relax and get away from it all. I would rather be in the city during the week for job and errands, just too far away in the country, to get things done. We just moved from a place in the middle of nowhere back to the city, I couldn't be secluded anylonger.

I'd rather live in the city. I like the hustle and bustle of city life. It makes me feel alive.  ;D

Country 1 million percent. I can't stand all that city noise and the people are so rude!

City all the way. The country gets boring fast! There's so much more to do in town. Shopping, libraries, public transportation to get around. Also emergency protection is much better. Your street is more likely to get plowed quicker after snow and emercency services are much closer.

I always thought I would liek the country till I got here!  To the eye its beautiful, and I do like the quiet, but thats it.  Takes forever to go somewhere, just pick up some pepsi at the store and u gotta drive forever.  And the county I live in is country and poor and that reflects in their schools and that reflects in their people.
Plus I don't like killing deer and everybody walks around in camouflage ..............well a lot of people do ...maybe not everybody.  And the worse thing is, We have to put our trash in our cars and take it somewhere, to the trash dump!!
Where I am from the trash man came around in his big loud truck and got our trash. We didn't take it anywhere except the end of the driveway.
I guess to each his own.  :)

City pros - Easier to meet people-- lot's of interesting/intelligent people, there's plenty to do on a date, more to do at any time of the day, easier to walk around since everything's so close, landmarks...uhhh...that's all I got off the top of my head.

City cons - AWFULAWFULAWFUL STUPID GODDAMN DRIVERS!!! Noisy, unclean, packed, horrible traffic, bad road care, stressful, crime, ridiculously dumb laws, and there's a lot of creepy people lurking about.

I live near Chicago as well and it sucks. They built all the surrounding areas horribly and it takes me an hour and a half to get to work when it should take me less than 30 mins. And when it snows? 3 hours was the record. Whenever I head into the country, my stress level lowers dramatically. All you people living in the country-- you have it nice even if it is boring. This city is going to send me to an early grave! AUGH!!!!

Edit: Add a poll to the top of this post!!!
