Man's Best Friend
« on: September 17, 2017, 08:05:08 pm »
Whenever I see a person walking a dog, it always draws my attention. I always notice the dog first before I notice the actual owner, because dogs always emit happy energy and they attract attention to the owner. If you are a dog owner, has it ever helped you make new friends? I think this is especially effective for single men. Single ladies also benefit as well. :dog: :in-love:

As a teenager I learned that an easy way to meet girls was to show up at a local park with a golden retriever puppy. I swear some of that adorable cuteness rubbed off a little.

We do not use our  dog to meet new people but our dog "Taz" makes new friends everywhere he goes.  He has an  outgoing, energetic personality and loves to play

I have no clue on this. I walk my dog once in a while. My husband walks him.

I don't have a dog but I do like them, had one before. I loved to walk them on a leash. I have a cat.

I love dogs! I haven't really made friends because of my dog but it does help strike up conversation when I am walking her sometimes. People on their porches will tell me how pretty she is or ask what breed she is.

Dogs are always pure energy and love... but obviously it's always puppies that attract the most... unless you have a pretty beautiful and unique dog.

Amazing animals...  :in-love:

I do love dogs. they love unconditionally and have lots of energy which makes people happy. in many ways they may help start conversation between people. I always stop and talk to people with dogs. :rainbow: :peace:

I live in the country with a fenced in yard so I never have a chance to walk mine.

I live in town now and since I do not believe in chaining a dong or  just putting  it in a small area I don't have one. But  I never  could  figure why  the dog was always the man's best friend.  My dog was my  friend, he would have protected me anywhere and did. He would not let a  illegal on our property. I felt safe at all times. Nor would he let anyone  hurt my grandson.

Why haven't I thought of your idea when I was single and shy? Good point great to know. Now I hope that's not the only reason why a single guy/gal would want to have a dog. LOL

We no longer have any pets in our home. It is too hard on us when we have to put them to sleep. However, we do babysit our neighbors black Labrador during the week when they are at work. His name is Otis. He is 3 1/2 years old. We have been watching him since he was a baby.
