What do you think of being single!?

I have never had a problem being single.  From what I see so many people are getting divorces because they are simply miserable being married.

It's up the person because marriage is not for everyone.  I've been married for 36 years and it's working for me but I know a lot of single people and they seem to be doing ok.

Like everything else, it depends on the person.  I'm going to give away my age here, but I was single for much of my early adult life. Finally found the right person and got married at 34 (when many of my friends and classmates were already married for several years and had families).  We just celebrated our 12th anniversary last Sunday.


Marriage is an adjustment, but for me it has been a wonderful adjustment. That isn't going to be true for everyone.

Well I have mixed feelings.  I have been widowed or "single" since my husband passed away in 2013.  I miss him like crazy but I don't know if I would want someone else at my age if I could get someone.  So I just leave it up to fate/God's plan whatever.

Being single has it's pros and cons. Mostly pros...There's so much drama with relationships in this day and age, it's beginning to not be such a bad thing (to be single).

Sometimes I wonder if I would be better off single where I would only have to answer to myself and my children and I would have no conflict with a spouse. People need not to look at those who are single as a bad thing. everyone has there own way and what works best for them.

I was married for 8 years and have been in relationships up to 4 years. I have been single now for 4.5 years and cannot say I even have the desire to date. It's too much work and headache. Plus, as a single parent, I have more important things to worry about.

I've never had a problem with being single. I've only had one boyfriend and that was back in high school (I'm still relatively young, so this was the early-2000s) that lasted almost a year, and then I tried the casual thing when I was 20, and now I'm 30 and single and it just is.

I am single myself and i do think there is some freedom to it which is good but i do think that its also great being in a relationship. You build new experiences ,build a life together and share moments etc.

I'm single and dating, but have been married before for 5 yrs, so come to find out he cheated during our entire marriage, so I left him and divorced him in the same year. Never married again. I have been with the guy I'm with now for almost 7 yrs. not ready to jump the broom yet.

There are times that I don't mind being single.  I can go where I want and do what I want.  There are other times when it would be nice to have someone to do things with.
