We had to ride the bus, we were in the country and 10 miles from the school. But we did have to walk down ou very long, almost half mile long, driveway.

I walked to school everyday. The only time I might get a ride was when I was in high school and it was raining, and that was if I was lucky.

Actually most days I hitchhiked to school (when I bothered to go).

We walked home when I was a kid it was 1 1/4 miles, their were 3 of us who walked together.

Yes.
Walked to school & home from school... it was quite a distance.
Up until High School & then we had a bus because the campus was 5 miles away.

Now days it seems everyone gets a ride, people were much thinner back in my day... could be a correlation.

When we lived close enough to walk my brother and I always walked. We moved a lot as daddy was in the military and lived in the country quite a few times. We rode the bus when in the country.

I got lucky and road a bus. My mom used to have to walk to school when she was younger.

I walked to school from kindergarten to eighth grade.

I walked when in grade school and came home for lunch every day but had bus service for high school

When I lived in the city, I took the city bus to school. After we moved to the suburbs, I walked to school since we were not far enough for the school bus.

Sometimes I walked,other times I rode the bus depending on where I lived at the time.When I was a kid,we moved frequently,about every year or two.We didn't move that far,just far enough to have to change schools.When I got old enough to get my driver's license and my own car I drove myself.

I did not walk to school because I was living close to a major road. So the bus had to pick me up,
