Wow so many people spend $100 when they go to the grocery store.  My family of 3 spends about $400 a month, or about $100 a week.  We try to get all the shopping done in one trip to save on gas.  Sales and coupons don't save you as much as you think they will.  The best coupon we ever got was $8 off a purchase of $40 or more at Stop and Shop for using online coupons for the first time.  I doubt we'll ever get a deal like that again.  It's 20% off, which is normal for Bed Bath and Beyond and maybe for electronics stores, but for food, 20% off is incredible.

Costco and BJs also don't help as much as you would think.  Sure, you can save on the unit price of an item, but you still have to spend a lot because you're buying it in bulk.  On many items the unit price is about the same or higher than at other stores.  Exception: BJs has the cheapest milk around.  When you buy many gallons of something every year, every penny counts.

I like how Fusion Cash sends checks or pays by Paypal.  Easy to use what you earned to buy food.  With other sites that only pay through gift cards, it's harder.  Has anyone ever bought food from Amazon?  I am getting a gift card for Amazon today and I want to buy oatmeal, chia seeds, and other shelf-stable items.  Are Amazon food prices better or worse than what grocery stores charge?

Recently, my family and I have hovered between $60 - $80 per visit to the grocery store. I would love to lower that amount, and am currently researching coupons and other promotional deals.

We typically spend anywhere from $100-$200 every 2 weeks. We meal prep like crazy, get menus together, and have ideas for snacks for the children. The main thing is we keep our pantry stocked, and just buy meat, dairy products, fresh produce, and small household essentials. Doing it like that saves us so much money a year!! :)

Less than $60 a week. I use coupons and discounts to try to get healthy, nutritious food for the best prices possible. When I was with my ex-husband (a big guy), it would easily be double that, and then in the middle of the week, he'd drop several hundred at Target, Walmart, or God knows where. And there would be $50 lunches charged to our credit cards. Can you see why he's my ex-husband? LOL

Just went this morning and was little over $200 but not really a lot of food.  Mostly paper goods, pet supplies, cleaning stuff, etc.  When I load up on actual groceries can easily top $300 but that does usually last 2 weeks.(less the meat my husband buys at a smaller store since the quality is better)  Costs way too much and we don't even have big elaborate meals.

I used to work at Wholefoods and I remember some of the customers coming in and purchasing over $500 in groceries. That's just insane!! I shop just for myself, and I'd say I average around $75 a week, and try to eat out as little as possible. When I was married, my ex-husband would often bring our bill up to $200. He'd have me searching the aisles for those rare/exotic products that most people had never heard of. And then after I did the shopping, he'd go to Target and drop another $200. Not gonna lie -- it was a contributing factor for our divorce. LOL

My budget up until now has been a little under $300 per month for me and my husband. Considering his recent involuntary career change, though... we'll have a little over $100 a month left for groceries, if I've done my math right. Going to be starting make a WHOLE lot more from scratch, and I will definitely need to get a summer garden in ASAP.

My boyfriend and I usually spend around $120 - $150 a week. We always buy fruit, vegetables and meat which adds up fast.
