Don't know why, but I am not.  I like the holidays but it came a little to soon for me.

I'm taking one day at a time and right now mom's medical conditions are on top of the list.  I usually start getting ready for Christmas right after Thanksgiving.

I'm excited for Christmas but I haven't thought much about it yet since Halloween just ended.

Bought some stuff from the Kmart store that was closing here and put it away.  Normal things that I know my husband uses all the time.  Also bought a couple of things for my oldest daughter since we were shopping for her birthday this month.

I used to love Christmas so much and look forward to it, decorating all over the place.  However, now that my children have been grown for some time and I am older and retired, it is just the opposite.  I have to watch my pennies and I just don't get into the spirit.  I have even gone out to the stores to look at the decorations and listen to the Christmas music, but the effect is only temporary. By the next day, I am back to normal.  I wish it was different, but I don't think I will ever get the excitement back.
