That’s why I hate elections. When the candidate you don’t vote for wins, you find things too unfair. Because elections are so close these days, and there are no more candidates I can politically trust and call heroes/heroines if at all, I refuse to believe in politics ever again. If you think that sounds rude, just ignore me. Don’t talk back in any way whatsoever!

People seem to want to live in an echo chamber that mirrors only one opinion... theirs.
It's a way they can feel good about themselves, that they are righteous so they can virtue signal.
They don't really want to know what would you do, they just want you to agree with what they want to do.

A well-rounded person can see all sides, one may not agree, but tolerance is key in a functioning society.

Some people are so closed minded that they aren't worth the time or energy, spend as little time on a response as possible & be vague.... "I'm not sure, what do you think" & throw it back at them.  Avoidance in some situations is best.

It depends on the topic!  I dont discuss politics or religion with certain people because I know they are just looking to argue

Not sure why people do a lot of things. They may just have nothing better to do

I really think people just want to know if some else is thinking the same way you are.  Maybe they will take your advice and maybe they will not it really depends on the question and the person.

I know.  I hate that.  My family will do that to me.  They'll ask me something and I'll give them an answer and they'll argue with me.  Then, I'm like, well, why did you ask?

It would be fabulous if all parties could have intelligent discussions about whatever the topic. It's so interesting and informative.

It's shameful that people get mad about other people's opinions. I think they're even promoting that in the school system. The world is so upside-down about so many things.

:fish:

They promote you can say whatever you want as long as no one disagrees with you.  And if somebody disagrees with you then you will be labeled a bully.  You are special and you can't get your tender snowflake feelings hurt. This country can't get too much more screwed up.

What is unfair is so many times there are too many underhanded things going on and cheating.  And in local elections they run extra people to split the vote up more. The one they want to win gets someone to run that has no chance to pull votes off the opposition.

As for telling people if they don't agree with you not to respond whatsoever - you cannot do that.  You are exactly what was being described to start with.  You want to state your opinion and yell shut up at every one else.  Every one has a right to their opinion.

or people that ask for your opinion on "what you would do" when they already know full well what they are going to do (regardless of what you say) and then argue with you over your input.  Total waste of my time and I hate that.

True - there is another thread on here and the OP is saying they want, truly want, people's opinion.  NO he doesn't.  And I told him that. lol.  I could give my opinion but I would only be attacked.  Even though he plainly asked for everyone's imput and thoughts.  But he doesn't want every one's opinion.  He wants people to agree with him.

I am honest with people when they ask my opinion. People need to realize that others won't always agree with them.

lol True but they don't. In today's world if you disagree with somebody you are called a bully. No, it is called having a difference in opinion. If you ask a question esp on a public forum you can't expect people to be all sugar coated and lollipop. I have seen questions on this site and the OP says oh I want the honest truth I want to know what people think. lol - NO you don't. You want people to tell you that you are right and to agree with you.

It is like the pictures I have seen on "Pinterest" with some stupid girl holding a sign that says "roast me". Then people make mean comments. Doing what the stupid b**tch asked for and then she crops out the "roast me" sign and posts the pic on Facebook and every where else crying because people are bullying her.  I can't stand too much more stupidity.

We people opinions because we want to see what they or they will respond, every opinion matters, if its good or bad, we can't judge someone on how they respond to your question or comment.
