making my bed,I would then make it with  my pillow in the middle of the bed and go out instead of doing more chores, that's  how I protested(we had 2 entrances/exits so I'd quietly leave when my sis was at the other end of the apt.)

I hated making my bed, but as an adult I make my bed every morning.

Growing up ... doing the dishes. Now ... sweeping the floors and mowing the lawn.

Scrubbing the kitchen floor, since I am old enough that we didn't have some of the modern conveniences and did it on our hands and knees every Saturday.

All of it, especially in the summer. All my friends would go swimming, but I had to do the dusting, vacuuming, and anything mom would need doing. I didn't complain, though, because she worked at the shoe factory, come home and make supper, bake cakes, cookies, apple dumplings, and pies for sale at the fire company fund raising (plus for us), and in the fall, worked a block party food stand. I was the french fry girl  while she did the burgers and dogs. Once I got older, I took on the cooking so she could just relax after working all day.

Dusting the furniture.  What is the point?  It just keeps coming back.  People dust too often.  If you can't write your name in it, wait a couple weeks and try again.  If you can read it, it's time to dust.....maybe.

Taking out the trash. Especially in the summer when there would be maggots. I was relieved when my little brother got old enough to take the job.

I absolutely despised cleaning the bathroom, especially the toilet. Yuck! Second to that would be laundry.
