My mother and father in law are both 95 and still active, what is a good gift besides money to get them?

Well I am 64 and the only thing I can think of is gift cards for places I like to shop or eat out.  It is difficult to have the extra money so a gift card to my favorite store or restaurant is always good for me.   :present: :present:

If they are still active, a gift card/certificate to their favorite restaurant.   Also, if they still live in their own place maybe a cleaning service for a day might be nice.  Someone to come in and clean their home for them.   Like debidoo, I am also 64 and I'd love gift cards but wow, I'd love someone coming in one day to clean my house.

All I can offer is what do they like to do/not like or what is difficult for them?  Would a lawn or cleaning service be helpful?  Would a meal delivered every Saturday for a month from one of their favorite restaurants be something they would enjoy?  Are they always cold?  Maybe heated throws?  I guess you have to think like this!

I am following this post as my own folks are 87 and 90; and my step mother-in-law just turned 95.
They all still live in their own home.

My siblings and I took a practical approach to our parents this year.  We are getting a new high rise toilet installed for them.  Easier on their news since the seat is higher than a regular toilet.

I like the heated throw idea JaniceSW gave.

My step mother-in-law likes her daily cocktail (highball?)....I don't know what she calls it, but my husband has done the shopping for her.

My mother is 81 and I always get her a gift card to the grocery store she likes......she says she always looks forward to it.  My sister always gets her a gift card to the pharmacy....it helps with her prescriptions.  :present:

I am 74. What I would love most is to go out to eat at my favorite place with that child, or all of them.

Time with loved ones, over a lovely meal is a wonderful gift. It is a preciious memory.

I think a year's subscription to Amazon Prime is a great gift for seniors. They can have all sorts of fun with it.

how about a heating pad.
I saw one in a catalog the other day.
It has a magnet clasp so you have more flexibility for placing it where you need it.
Regular heating pads can be so stiff.
A cushion to sit on is nice.

LOL! someone that age probably doesnt even know what a computer is! My mother is 76 and still cant figure out what the internet is or what it does

Yeah no, these people can probably hardly walk, to put them on a rocking boat only spells out disaster, you always hear of these horror stories of people gone missing, not a good idea for people in their 90s

Get them a day spa, where they can be pampered and then go to a nice restaurant.

A visa gift card, that way they can use it anywhere when they want.
