Have you ever saved any animals ?

my hubby saved a dog from the highway years ago... someone abandoned him on the highway (or kicked him out of the car)... highly doubt it ran away....
poor thing, he would have ended up under a car. He still had a leash on.

We waited to see if anyone was claiming him... (of course not)... so we ended keeping him

I've gotten most of my dogs from the animal shelters. I've had 3 wandering cats

I've stopped to get turtles out of the yard. Also, whenever there is a stray in my neighborhood I try to do everything I can for it. I've been able to rehome a few and find the homes of those that had gotten lost.

i've always taken in strays since I was a kid. Last year, we had a feral cat bring her 5 kittens here. Once they got used to us, they became the most loving cats I've ever seen but when I made the appt. to have the male neutered the Runt spayd,  Momma took off as did the male.   My Avatar is one that stuck around and we brought her in the house and spoiled her rotten. We got her spayed but a month later, she got sick.and ran away.  I think she died.   

Five months ago, Momma came back pregnant again. This time, she was more loving. Five more kittens but these guys aren't trusting at all. I'm trying and 2 are getting "close" but the other 3 are afraid of my cane so run away every time. The two that come close is a pure black one with white paws and chest and a real light gray. The black one is Boots (male) and the light gray is No. 5 because she was the last to come for food. She's adorable.  Momma is real loving now and she sneaks in the house when we open the door, but she doesn't stay in long.   I ordered thermal mats for them and they now sleep in a very large pet carrier. I wish I would have gotten them earlier because we are having bitter cold right now with wind. I did cover the holes in the carrier with a blanket to keep more heat in and they have 2 blankets inside..

I'm going to make arrangements to get Momma spayd after the holidays. I don't know what to do about the kids.

Nopes, Aside from feeding some strays that looked rather hungry that's about all I did.

The only animals that we have are rescues.  Everything from ferals that we've worked with to tame, trap fix and release to having people dump animals in our yard.  Somehow cats seem to know our house is the one to come to when they are injured too.  Instinct maybe? None have ever been turned away though

If saving earthworms from drying out by using a stick to put them back in the grass counts, then yes I have saved animals. Can't think of any other specific examples though.

yes  we saved a couple cats that were strays,,,,  they were so skinny  and kept running across this busy street.  I just picked them up one night and took them home.  they were with us for over 15 years

Yes, I have saved many by swerving to miss them on the roads.  I live in the country so there are always critters running out in the road.

I have had to handfeed a couple baby squirels. Other than that most of my pets are rescues.
