Enjoy it!  But NO SPOILERS for the rest of us, right?   ;)

Not sure if I will be getting to the theater to see this one. I've actually only seen two of the Star Wars movies on the big screen.  When I was just a kid, my parents took us to the drive-in when the original Episode IV came out.  And just last January, I went to see Rogue One with my daughter's boyfriend while visiting them in Florida.

So from a real time standpoint (in OUR universe) I've seen the first and last movies on a full movie screen (prior to release of The Last Jedi, of course); but from a Star Wars universe chronology standpoint I've seen the two movies that sort of overlap in the middle of the time continuum.

Won't be the last Star Wars movie though because you have to beat that dead horse with a lightsaber.  Least this one won't have another deathstar scenario just old Luke Skywalker.

We will probably go see it once the crowds decrease.  Have always loved all the Star Wars movies and I feel sure we won't be disappointed with this one.

No this wont be the last movie, there is still one left for this trilogy.  Plus they have stated a new trilogy is going to happen after this one, plus the spin off movies such as han solo and obi 1 Kenobi.

This movie appears to be an 'event' movie -- one people will remember when and with whom they saw it.  I've got to admit it's stirred my interest.  I barely remember the first Star Wars movie, but I definitely remember the events going on in my life at the time -- and I actually slept through the intergalactic war!  Anyway, I am enjoying some of the nostalgia that these movies are bringing up now.

I had a political survey today that switched gears (as was stated in the survey) from the subject of last week's latest political news that I was expected to expound upon (which I did) and asked whether I was going to see The Last Jedi.  This was followed by the full list of Star Wars movies asking whether I'd seen it, watched and liked or watched and disliked.  On the list was The Star Wars Holiday Special.  Huh?

My hubby went to see it last Saturday while I was at work.  He said it was a great movie and would go see it again with me if I wanted to go.

Hmmm. It was a "different" kind of Star Wars film. Not to get into spoilers, but the character of Luke doesn't really get done justice in my opinion. Even Mark Hamill himself has gone on record saying "This is not my Luke Skywalker".

It's still a fun time at the movies, I guess, but I was pretty disappointed in the story.

It's interesting to hear you say you were disappointed.  I'm sure you must be an avid fan...being a Jedi and all...however, given the timeline on making these movies it would be hard to keep the true character (Luke Skywalker) in the same light as when a very young Mark Hamill agreed to play the part.  I saw his interview on Graham Norton's Show (BBC One; Dec. 2017) on YouTube -- which is a must-see for any Star Wars fans -- and Mark was refreshingly candid about how it all began.  Flippant, really.  He didn't even see the need to keep the "goofy script" to himself until after the second movie.  That's when George Lucas and director, Irvin Kershner {now deceased}, approached him with a threat to not reveal what was in the script as he was the only person, other than themselves, who knew.

To me it's amazing how the Star Wars franchise evolved with time because when it came out those special effects were supposed to be 'the bomb.'  I guess so, but I managed to sleep through the actual 'war' and couldn't appreciate that part of it back then.
