I took my decorations down the weekend after Christmas. My Amaryllis plants are still out because they haven't bloomed yet.

This year when I took down our Christmas decorations, I sorted all the boxes.  I gave ornaments to my children that I bought for them yearly when they were little.  I discarded old tattered decorations and have a pile that either will go to goodwill or the landfill.

I have taken everything down and put it all in and on the pool table in the game room.  I am getting it all boxed up a little every day, my plan is to get it all  back up into the attic tomorrow when I have help to carry it all up.

My decorations are almost completely down... I've just got the bottom & the middle part of the Christmas tree to tarp up.
I went & purchased a coupled of Tarps from Harbor Freight to hopefully protect the tree until next year.   My tree sheds it's little green needles like crazy.  I really don't want to buy a new tree, cuz this one looks nice & the larger fuller ones are hard to find these days & they are now so crazy expensive if you do find them ... something comparable to what I have is almost $400.

Anyway, I will have it done finally tomorrow.  I'm actually looking forward to getting it overwith... and moving on to the next house project. :)

I have but I did notice that people around in my area still have them up. We took ours down over New Years. I think after that it is a little late to have them up. :snowman:

We have quite a few folks still blazing Christmas lights in our neighborhood but we have an HOA so they will get a warning if they don't take them down soon.  I think they have til the end of January although I would never leave mine up that long.  All I had this year was a blow up Santa which kept falling down and aggravating me so the day after Christmas I took it down lol.
What's a HOA?

Google JediJohnnie and May the Force be with you!

We use to bring down everything around springtime, you know the time for spring cleaning or when mom blows up & screams at us to clean it up! Lol! Each year we decorate less & less! This year we didn't even buy a manufactured Christmas wreath for the front door!

We do not do exterior decorations. Tree and door wreath, etc. stay up at least until the Feast of the Epiphany.

The hubby took our outside lights down over this past weekend.  Time to move on to Valentine's Day Decorations.

Our cats had our tree half down on Christmas day.  They knock it over and play with the decorations.  I gave up on expensive or fragile ornaments years ago.
