One movie I forgot to mention that was really scary. My cousin had just gotten her driver's license and we went to see "The Haunting of Hill House."

She told me later that she was really scared to drive home alone after she dropped me off. It was really spook-a-rama.

Oh, and what about "Body Snatchers"? Made you really think twice about falling asleep.

Darkness Falls. The one with the evil tooth fairy, saw it again years ago and couldn’t sleep for like 2 weeks.

Escape to Witch Mountain and Charlotte's Web. But I'm using "trauma" here as in "really depressed/upset me."

The Freddie Krueger and Friday the 13th movies used to (and still) scare the living daylights out of me. But I am a sucker for the horror movie genre, so I continue to watch out of mere curiosity.

The Brave Little Toaster used to scare me so much, I haven't seen it in at least 15 years and I honestly think it might still freak me out, something about the weird animated kitchen appliances just weird-ed me out.  Also puppets freaked me out, so any muppets movies were a define no-go.  :-X

"The Blob" really scared me but there was another one that was even worse but I seem to have blocked most of it from my memory as I can't even remember the name.  I just know it was something about ppl living underground in a big city and they were eating ppl.  Gave me the creeps!

Charlotte's Web, and Escape to Witch Mountain.

ETA: Ack! I already replied!

To branch out in my teens... Friday the 13th and The Last House on the Left. I saw them during a slumber party at my house; they were on ON TV (anyone remember that?)

Honestly ... Independence Day. The scene where they're cutting the alien in half and he wakes up ... still haunts me to this day.
