some of your memories may be so vivid that you even remember the smell in the air.

I like the faint smell of pine which was my grandpas favorite after shave lotion and  about the only one he would wear. Since I am allergic to so much of it, I prefer the just showered clean smell the best, for man or woman.  And another favorite is the smell of  a baby all powdered and clean. Guess I am just one for natural smells.

I used to live in michigan where the life savers plant was so the air smelled like cherries.  Until they packed up to move to Canada

I've heard that your olfactory senses can remember the farthest back into your childhood. I have a memory of being in my grandma's bathroom in the old claw-foot tub whenever I smell Lifebuoy soap. I couldn't have been more than three years old! :)

My mom grew up in a mining town in KY, I remember the coal smell in the mornings.  A few years ago, we visited that town and the smell took me back to childhood.

Every once in a while I'll catch a smell that reminds me of my Dad when he got off work.  He was an aluminum siding trade worker.  There was a distinct summer smell that he put off between sweat, dirt and metal from the aluminum.  Even in winter months when he didn't sweat as much there was still an aluminum smell to him after work.... even his truck had that scent.

I love the smell of  fresh cut grass.

I hate the smell of hospitals.  Especially with the amount of time I spent in them over the past 18 months due to my dad. :(

Sometimes when I'm making a peanut butter sandwich, the smell of the peanut butter and bread takes me back to childhood.
