Movie theatres
« on: February 02, 2018, 02:31:24 pm »
Do you go to movie theatres ? If there is a movie I want to see, I will go. I go at least once or twice a month. If I start going more, I will get something called movie pass. it cost about $10.00 a month per person. That is unlimited movies. Right now I go on $5.00 tuesday  but I will get movie pass if I think I will need it :)

I actually went twice last months, both on dates. I don't usually go unless I really want to see it. I (finally) saw The Last Jedi and then The Shape of Water. Both were really good. I've heard of the movie pass, which sounds great if you go often, but there isn't usually a whole lot I want to see.

I do like to go to the movies. However we only go a few times a year. Mostly wait till the movies are able to watch on TV.

Yes.  I just saw The Post in the theater last week.  What an excellent film.

I  go, but not often they are so over priced in our area; we try and do matinees when we do go as they are a little more affordable.

Our local theater has movies for $5 all the time.  All movies.  It is a good deal.

I haven't been to any movie theaters in a number of years.  I hate them because they are never clean.

I don't go to movie theaters. Those movies will be aired on TV, and that is how I watch some of them.

I love movies but only make it out tot three to five movies per year because I am always working and my family is becoming as busy as I am. I usually aim to see the movies that I believe will have the best chance at winning an Oscar. I only managed to see one movie last year which was "The shape of water.". I do manage to catch up on most of the nominees through Netflix and/or Amazon Prime. Unfortunately I think that movie theaters may follow the path of retail shopping as everyone seems to be streaming through their computers or have access to fairly new movies through their television sets. Last year I only went to the mall once and that was because my daughter waited until the last minute to let me know that she needed a formal dress for a sorority function.

If there is a movie I'm interested in seeing on a really big screen, then we have one that has $4 movie opportunities if you go to several matinee times each week.  I go once or twice a year.  The thing is every once in a while a movie comes along that just begs for me to see it at our local IMAX and I go.  It is really expensive, like $10-$12, depending on when you decide to go.  Usually, after I pay that, I don't go again for a long time.  I hope our $4 theatre stays open a while but there usually aren't a lot of people there.
