verizon
« on: February 08, 2018, 12:00:54 pm »
upset my boyfriend was talking to Verizon and asking about upgrading my phone because my phone just sucks with its issues. and we used to get a new phone for an upgrade for like 99 cents plus the $40 activation fee

but now

they want me to send in my old phone plus pay a fee for upgrading and a monthly fee. and if he's understand right its like 18 a month how the hell is that an upgrade.

oh well I guess I better just go buy a phone and add it so I can save some money.

has anyone hear any different?

i had verizon and didn't like them at all --Sprint is much better --maybe you should switch service providers

I have switched a couple of times but always go back because of the coverage I get when we travel.
I have been able to get service many times when no one else with us was able to.

I have never known of Verizon giving you a new phone for 99 cents. Esp if you didn't have to turn in the old one.

Totally disagree.  Verizon is the best.  Where I live Sprint won't get service in the parking lot where the service is sold.

I am assuming it wasn't anything like an iPhone? I didn't pay but $20 to activate each line on my plan. Paid full price for each phone.

nope me and my boyfriend got a couple iphones that way. we both upgraded to 5 or 5s.

I am just going to buy a refurbished phone now. because I am not paying the prices they want.

An uncle of mine had a bad experience with Sprint as well. I think it was a conflict with phone bills.

I remember when there was a .99 upgrade. But things have changed now. I am with Verizon and am eligible for an upgrade next month. There is an activation fee, not sure how much it is. You may want to check out their websites for deals.
