I don't. I need to get out of this habit, but I can admit that I do this.

I've always turned the water off while brushing my teeth. It's not so much wasting the water it's the noise sometimes drives me a bit crazy that early in the morning.  :) :) :) :) :)

This is something I had to think about.  I kind of do both.  I let it run, get the brush wet and let it run while I'm spitting - while it's running and I'm brushing with one hand; I use the other hand to rinse out the sink up.  Upon final spit I then turn the water off.  Guess I've sort of got a system to how I brush my teeth.

I don't but I need to because for one thing I now have a water bill and it all adds up.  I recently moved from somewhere I had a well and I am sure that impacted the electric but I didn't have a water bill coming in each month.  Plus it is a waste.  Thanks for the reminder I am going to start trying to break that habit.

Yes I do!  I never understood why people need to have it on.

I'm glad that the majority of people on FC are saving water. I'm so proud of you!  :highfive:

One thing that really brings it home is if you see how people live in other countries with so little water.  I was in Costa Rica for a senior project as a student and the water was critically rationed. It really makes you think.

People have been fighting over water rights almost since time began and it can be really frightening if you think about it. What would we do if we ran out?  :-\

No, I don't but I should get into the habit of doing it. I brush my teeth in the shower a lot too so the water is always running there. lol
