For me yes, when it comes to staying in contact with family who live far away...I don't have a cell phone to make these long distance calls...to YOU it's "useless" but to ME it means a lot...I see you're on here though :)

Abstaining from blood is Gods command.Surgeries can be done using other blood products.

If 1 loses their life in an act of heroism Jesus said it is viewed as the greatest love 1 can give.

Jesus NEVER commanded his followers to fast when he began to do so after John baptized him.The only command he gave was to memorialize Passover...the day he was killed cos of what it meant to mankind.

Every yr we know the exact date of Passover. This yr it is 3/31.There is NOOO day mentioned in bible Re Jesus birth. It would be hard to agree it is 12/25 cos that is a cold rainy season in Bethlehelm and shepards were out with their flocks when angel announced his birth to them.

Just ignore it.  I have noticed it trolls all the threads all day long attacking every one and every thing said.  I don't participate in Lent.  Facebook wouldn't be that big of a deal for me.  I look at it maybe once a day or so.  It is a good way to keep up with people who are scattered all across the country.

Wow! I guess some people don't realize that in the USA it would be illegal to give up a limb or even sacrifice your life, regardless of if it is Lent or any other day. So I guess giving up technology that we rely on every day is a big deal here. Can you tell us JWkelly which arm you are giving up?

I know ppl that I suspect of animal sacrifice in their pathetic rituals/religion. And unless the Almighty actually tells you himself what he wants everything in religion is nonsense.  All have their own agendas just like every non religious org.   I give up this and that for my health ,sacrifice my facial hair and pubes every so often too (first day of summer I shave off my beard and mustache and crotch  pubes to the Hair Gods)

I wouldnt expect you to know how to use the bible foolish one...but to those that do know how the scriptures reference my post...thank you

RE Blood....Gen 9:4 and Lev 17:14
RE greatest act of love....John 15:13
RE Memorial command on Passover Luke 22:19
And if u follow Jesus from when he was baptized by John he NEVER commanded his followers to fast.

Let me add, this fool thinks shes gonna die and go to heaven!!That will NEVER happen, but can u imagine she would probably disagree with God and Jesus and tell them what to do...LOL!

And lemme also add...they ridiculed and humiliated Jesus to the point of death.....so the truth again is compared to this

Heb 4:12 Verse (Click for Chapter)
New International Version
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

If the shoe fits in her case...we must NOT aquitt...heh heh

Proverbs 17:28 New King James Version (NKJV)
28 Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace;
When he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive.

The proverb means even a fool is wise when they KNOW enuff to keep their mouth shut.Your Alfred Hitchcock rants will be dealt with if they continue.

Anyone who believes that the words  written by men with their own agenda in mind are "the word(s) of God" are fools . Just like fools believe that all the made up religious days matter. This planet matters and what you do  for it not some ghost in the sky. Clueless fool(s)
