Anyone who believes that the words  written by men with their own agenda in mind are "the word(s) of God" are fools . Just like fools believe that all the made up religious days matter. This planet matters and what you do  for it not some ghost in the sky. Clueless fool(s)
If u knew anything about the bible it is Satan and mankind that have turned this planet into a joke.In HIS time God will correct it as it should have been.He has only allowed it once for all time to be as it is to prove beyond a doubt without his governing it it will be just as it is now.....a joke.So live out your 80/90 yrs or as bible says, let us eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die. There are some of us that are grateful for life and the provision God made thru his son Jesus to live in a paradisic, peaceful world that can only be brought upon by Gods kingdom or government.

I observe the Lenten season in preparation for the death and resurrection of God's son, Jesus Christ.

You've got this! LOL> I'm not Catholic but I do have a friend that is trying to give up drinking AND smoking at the same time for Lent.  To say he's grumpy is the understatement of the year!!!!

I never paid any  attention to it.  Hubby grew up a catholic but he is not a practicing one any more. He  likes the Church I go to and enjoys it. But I have never ask him to convert that is I believe asking to much of him. When we go to a Catholic service for some one he goes all through the service doing all they do.  I have no idea of what is going on so I just sit there and watch it all.

Less time on seeing what's going on with my family that I hardly ever see because of distance :(

I too was raised in a Catholic home.  We didn't eat meat on Fridays and were encouraged to give something up for lent (but not until we were older - teen years) After confirmation I slowly distanced myself from the Catholic church as much of what was being taught was a. confusing and b. didn't feel right.  I've since found a couple of churches that delve into the Bible and the relationship we all desperately need with Jesus. Now I don't give up anything for lent.  I don't celebrate palm Sunday or Ash Wednesday any more either.

Growing up a catholic i always thought God looked evil if he punished his creation forever in a firery hell.Imagine eating meat on Friday was a mortal sin and you would go to hell for that!!What a joke!!Jesus said when we know the truth it sets you free from all that garbage.Only command he gave was after he dismissed Judas and he knew he would die that day was to always remember him for that act of love from his father and himself.Keep doing this in rememberance of me he said.Passover is 3/31 this yr.
