Sermon over - 'nuff said

At the risk of being slammed for my view on censorship by a few or possibly many, I found one post to be particularly objectionable by jwkelly. 

If the Fusion Cash word filter cannot censor such objectionable posts, then there must be some other way to keep people from having to read things like that. 

I'm not a prude but do object to being subjected to such an obvious attempt for shock value.  That's my opinion.

I would like to be able to choose whether or not I see such things. I hope that there are a few who support me on this. If not, I've still had my say.

I am not aware of the post that you are talking about so I can not respond. Can you describe the post in more detail without offending? What was said that bothered you so? What was it about?

I saw the post and chose not to entertain ignorance. There are sadly too many that think like that and have become comfortable voicing it again under the current political climate

I think the administrator would want to know about offensive posts.  I suggest that you open a support ticket.

Well if everybody clicks "report to moderator" they would end up doing something.  The other option besides not clicking on anything started by a member like that is clicking "Ignore this member".  Now I am a fairly tolerant person and I understand another's right to free speech but this one really does go beyond that.  It is there to be inflammatory and to upset the membership.

He seems to be commenting on just about every subject, and I'm rather surprised he is not commenting on this entry.

While he "technically" has a right to speak his mind, he has not learned one valuable lesson, and that is just because you CAN say something does not mean that you SHOULD.

It is also important to note that not everything that pops into your head should come out of your mouth.

I too, have seen posts from jwkelly that I thought were inappropriate but so far I just let it go pretty much. But I have no problem reporting if it gets out of hand. I'm wondering if this person isn't a teen, the way he (I'm assuming) words his posts.

Actually, I just saw a post from him that I could not let go, and I have reported him to the moderator.

So, as far as I can see, I am the only one who has hit that button. I also told him to stop whining and complaining about every race that is not white.

Maybe he will shut up now, but those types of people never do.

In my opinion, the ignore member feature does wonders for this kind of thing. I'm not saying that objectional posts shouldn't be reported to moderators, but for my money, I'd rather just ignore it and not be subjected to it in the first place.

I have never seen a post from this person.  If I had and it bothered me then I would definitely report him to the moderator.
