VideoLab Resetting Timer
« on: March 05, 2018, 02:41:24 am »
So, I opened their page and was watching the videos.  Timer going down no problem and I was close to 4 minutes left.  Suddenly, they say they've run out of videos and will check again in 5 minutes.  Ok, I can accept that.

However, when they find videos for me, I'm back at the 18 minute timer again, even though I was down to 4 or so minutes before hand.  And this has happened 2 or 3 times now.

Am I just getting really unlucky that they run out of videos with minutes left on my timer?

I have had this happen to me so many times, and not just on Fusion Cash, that I have given up on VideoLab.

Sometimes VideoLab has picked up where it left off but other times, it has reset just like has happened to you.

That sort of stuff happened also it was taking 2 min to count down 1 min, so 15 min became 30, for 1 cent I don't think so, I cost more in electricity to charge the laptop for that time.  The idea was appealing since it could run on its own, but since it doesn't pay just not worth it.

I just tried VideoLab for the first time yesterday. I didn't have a "timer" show up at all. It took a while enabling my various pop-up blockers, so finally today, I was able to actually start watching some videos. BUT, I have 2 of the same videos trying to run side by side on my screen, one seconds behind the other. I paused one, but after watching for about 8 mins., I got the notice that there were no more videos available, and to ck. back in 5 mins., etc. 'Any ideas how not to get that 2nd one on my screen simultaneously? I'm try to access this around 12 - 1AM, Eastern time. Would more videos be available earlier in the day/eve? Or is it just the luck of the draw when they run out? (Depending on how many are trying to use this feature). Thanks, ahead of time!

This is the main reason I quit doing Video Lab.   It is bad enough when the timer stops whenever you leave the page but to restart the timer is just too much.

I have had the same experience.  The break -- check back in 5 minutes -- and IF it returns with videos it resets the timer back to the beginning.  Then it breaks again.  It is unpredictable, but I will try it again.  Sad to say, you've got to cross your fingers and hope for the best, but just be prepared to be frustrated.

can happen... looks more like a bug, but I guess there's not much we can do about it
