Has anyone else heard about this? There's a company that is now producing sliced ketchup (think like sliced cheese) and they are trying to sell them to restaurants to "speed up production". They are allegedly non-GMO and gluten free. Would any of you buy a sliced ketchup? How would we dunk our fries? :(
I don't want anyone who cuts the cheese slicing my ketchup.

besides i'd miss the noise the squeeze bottles makes.

haha, yeah, that sound is definitely memorable. I hadn't seen the photo before, I saw it in the package, but yeah, that definitely looks gross. I'll think I'll stick to regular ketchup. :)

I heard about it on the radio.  I don't understand the allure of the sliced ketchup.  Seems like it will just produce more waste....the plastic wrapper around each slice of ketchup.

It's all fine and good that they say it's GMO free and gluten free, but by no means does that mean it is healthy.  And I have the distinct feeling that it would be extremely unhealthy.  No shot I would eat it.

It doesn't appeal to me, nor does sliced mayo or sliced Buffalo wing sauce, or a slice of wine.

Sliced ketchup  doesn't even sound appealing. Even if I did like it I don't  Think I  would bother even trying it.  :rainbow: :peace:

That would sound more like a innovative dressing for sandwiches rather than a dip.

That doesn't sound all that appealing to me. Just do what normal people do, and open the ketchup squirt bottle in a circle so it covers the burger or whatever more evenly and call it a day. That's really all there is to it.

After Bing-ing it and watching a kick starter video, I'm willing to try it.  Although I don't know how it's going to revolutionize fast food.  I can see it being a shelf stable item in food trucks or lunches.  I think the idea of other sauces being put in this form for wraps on the go would be interesting for lunchables or armour kits.  Teriyaki, bbq.  The whole fruit-roll up texture is weird... but I guess until ya try it don't knock it.
