No, I wouldn't. I've already decided that I didn't want kids.

I would not have a child. Adoption is always an option.

tough call . I would probably adopt  a child.  then I'm not sure my niece is shaken baby and is improving everyday at 21 years old. I was an epileptic with a learning disability was behind mentally until 2 years old.  its a toss up

that is a tough question but if you really want children and adoption isnt an option i think it would be okay to do it.

Jedi, you are absolutely correct, God has the say so in everything that happens in our lives, it's not a guarantee that that child will be born with the same condition you have, where is your Faith, trust and believe that God has our lives already planned out for us, we can't change it no matter how hard we may try.

I don't think I would try to conceive knowing I might pass something like that along, but I wouldn't terminate if that was going to be the case if that's what the question is.

If I had a disability and knew that if I conceived it could be passed on to my child no I would not have children.  I feel this would be very unfair to conceive knowing this could possibly happen.  For me the better option would be to adopt a child.

No I wouldn't! My stepdaughter is a diabetic and lost 2 and got pregnant and delivered at 24 weeks! 10 lbs. 8 oz. So sad! I asked her why and she said she didn't think she could get pregnant! Poor baby is 2 years old and is suffering from everything! He didn't get out of the hospital until he was a year old! He's been back and forth and lost his eye sight in one eye and ca only see 30% out of the other. HEARTBREAKING!

As a mother, if I knew there was a high chance of having a child with a disability or mental illness, I would try to avoid pregnancies. If I did become pregnant unintentionally, I would go through with the pregnancy and love my child.
