Beloved pet gone but not forgotten ever
« on: April 23, 2018, 09:06:18 am »
My little dog an eight pound shih tzu had to be put to sleep a few days ago.  I try to only post happy stuff but I am posting this in honor of her.  She was my best friend and when my husband passed six years ago was such a comfort to me.  I am lost without her but loss is a part of life and I guess we have no choice but to move on the best we can.   :dog:

Oh debidoo, I am so sorry for your loss.  I can empathize with you.  My pets, all of them, are so much a part of my family.  I'll be truthful; sometimes they are more a part of my family then then some of my human relatives.

Nothing can ever really replace the loss of a dear pet but I hope that time will help to heal your sorry.

I know that you typically post uplifting things but it is O.K. to share your loss with those of us who truly care and understand.   :dog:  :(

I'm sorry to hear that. My first pet was a Shih Tzu. We also went through this heartbreak shortly after Christmas with one of our beloved cats.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have had many furbabies pass over the years, each one breaks my heart even more. I hope that in the future when your ready you will find another pup to love just as much :)

I am so sorry.  I had a sweet Yorkie.  She was killed tragically at age fifteen.  I think of her often and miss her still.

Sorry to hear your dog had to be put to sleep. When my dog died it hurt so bad I did not want to get another one. However five months later I did get me a new puppy. She helped me to get happy again. I still missed my old dog but this new one is such a joy to have around. Maybe you should get another one.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved pet... pets are such wonderful friends & companions & become a part of the family.   She looks so sweet in your profile picture.   I hope in time you'll find another best friend out there in need of a home & to be loved.

Once again, so sorry for the loss of your little doggo :(

I am so very very sorry.  I know the feeling of losing a fur baby sadly too much.  Time does heal the hurt, but you always remember.  Again, I truly am so very sorry.

I've had a dog all my life.  We had family friends though that only had like fish or stuff, so when we would visit them they could constantly ask us to stay later or whatever and we'd say we have to leave to go take care of our dog.  A few years ago they got a dog, and they started apologizing for all their nagging about staying because they finally understood what it's like having a dog vs a fish.

Sure, fish are good pets, not saying anything against that, but dogs and cats are more than just pets.  They are another member of the family.  They greet you at the door and try to make you feel better when you are sad or in pain.  And then when they go you really feel what's missing.

I'm sorry to hear that.  At least you know that you had good memories with them, otherwise you wouldn't miss them so much.

I'm sorry to hear that.  Pets are part of the family.  My pooch is getting older and depends on me a whole lot these days. You may not think so now but you will be able to get another one some day. You are not replacing the dog you lost but opening your home to another dog that needs love and a home.
