"Me Time"
« on: April 25, 2018, 09:42:10 am »
We so often put others before ourselves. What is something that you put on the back burner so that you can do for others.?

For me, I like to relax on weekends, but I need to help a family member in another area get around because they do not have transportation.

Well at least you can relax now. It is always important.

For me, I come first. My health is very important.
With good health...then I am ready to help others.

I'm sure your family member appreciates the help. My mother taught me to live by the golden rule.  Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.  I'm sure you would be very grateful for the help if the situation were reversed.  Hopefully, you can sandwich in some "me" time along with the help you are providing.

Time for yourself can be very difficult but sometimes it's extremely necessary. If you don't take care of yourself you can't take care of others.  Hope everyone can find balance in  their lives to do both.  :peace:  :rainbow:
Be grateful for what you have and you will receive more than you ever expected

If you believe it you can achieve it.

It does make it difficult to find "Me Time" when you are always caring for others but remember your body also at some point needs some rest.  Is it possible you could rotate some of the responsibility with other love ones in your life?

Sleep.  That is always on the backburner when someone needs help.

I am in the mood for some me time right now. I just want to go to a private Island, lay on the beach and be catered to for a few days. I feel kind of overwhelmed.

I don't get much "me time". I'm always grinding and always working. I'm taking care of some debt, but when I'm done with that I definitely plan on going on a cruise or something fun/relaxing.

Still having hard time treating myself with out feeling guilty. It must be some self hate issue, I haven't resolved.

I have finally reached the point in life where I don't have work or many family responsibilities.  I am retired, divorced, and my children are grown and on their own.  They are doing well in their careers and their personal lives also.  It is now time for me within the restrictions of income. I rarely engage in activities I don't want to do anymore.
