Crockpot
« on: May 02, 2018, 12:13:23 pm »
Do you use one?  I do a few times a month.  Today I’m making a chicken dinner in it.  So easy, I put 4 thighs on the bottom.  Put 1/2 cup of soy sauce, 1/2 of honey and teaspoon of Italian seasoning.  Mixed them together.  Diced some red potatoes, onions, and carrots. Put the vegetables on top of chicken then the sauce mixture.  Cooked low for 7 hours.  Then put in some fresh green beans, cooked 30 minutes, added fresh mushrooms and cooked another 30 minutes.  That’s it and it’s really good.

Yes, I have one and I use it occasionally. Just this past weekend I threw a pound of lean turkey and a jar of green chili salsa. Didn't need to add anything else, but did have a side dish of rice. Super cheap and tasty!

I have one but I hardly use it. I enjoy making things that don't take all day to cook . I understand if 2 people work and do not have time to put a meal together, it helps out. There are also a few slow cooker recipes online you can use :)

I don't use the crock pot much. I may during the summer when it's hot outside and I do not want to heat up the house.

I love my crockpot. Its great for soups, and is super easy to clean up. There are a number of appetizers and great other tings you can make in it.

I have several and use them often....when I had 4 teenagers and all their activities and sports in high school I used them every day.  I used several each day for a main course, side and often a dessert.  They make great baked potatoes and sweet potatoes.  Whenever anyone got home they had a great hot dinner without having to depend on fast foods all the time or all of us waiting on the later ones.

I used to use one all the time when I was working.  Set it to cook on low, go to work and then come home to cooked food.  Now that I'm a homemaker, I haven't used it in years.  I just do all of the cooking on the stove now.

I don't have a crockpot but maybe I should get one. Seems like a great idea.

I used to use it about once a week.  Through it in there in the morning and it's good to go at dinner time.  I changed my diet for health reasons though and haven't used one in a few years.

I love cooking with a crock pot. It always makes for an easy meal. You can't beat the taste either.
