Good luck. I hope you find something better to do. I unfortunately am stuck at my job for the indefinite future because I'm not going to get paid better anywhere else, no matter how much I hate it. LOL

Just an update for those who actually have an interest in my status. :-\ I never got another job, so I call myself retired now. I allowed my ex-husband to move in with me and with both our Social Security and my pension I think we'll make it okay.

Yes, I'm crazy. I admit that. I always have been. But it's working out okay and will stay that way as long as we can handle our two strong wills and butting heads constantly.

I just sold my house and our kids are trying to move us out of Illinois since all the governors go to prison and such. :( Plus this state just keeps on raising our taxes. :o

Hopefully, I'll keep up with Fusion Cash. I would so miss posting on the forum, you know. :in-love:

linderlizzie, I assume your kids don't live in Illinois so moving would be a move to be closer to them?  Perhaps there will be a job, or part-time job wherever you move to.

I hope your arrangement of sharing house/expenses with your Ex works out for you both.

I sometimes wish I could quit my current job. I do not get paid nearly enough. However, with mounting student loans, other bills, and a parent to take care of, I have to simply deal with it until a more lucrative job offer comes along. Good luck to the OP, BTW.

Lost my job about a month ago, they say I quit, I say they fired me. Applied for unemployment benefits but it's looking like I won't get it. Luckily I have some money saved up and I make money through other ways, online, and I live with my sister and don't have to pay much for expenses. I have started to look for another job, but this town doesn't have much. I don't want to continue living here, but I just about have to for the time being. I'm only a couple years away from retirement age, so trying to hang in there until that happens, then hope to move to another state closer to one of my children also. I have 4 kids, 2 live in this state (MT), 1 in Iowa and 1 in NY. So kind of hard to go somewhere where I'd be closer to all of them. I hope all is working out for you linderlizzie, I've been in worse situations and somehow have managed to muddle through it so in a way I see this as a new beginning and am somewhat grateful, as my job wasn't anything special and didn't pay worth a darn.

Place your resume on job recruiting sites like Indeed and Ziprecruiter. They email you potential ones weekly or daily, your preference. Best wishes for finding one soon :rose:

I somewhat disagree nannycoe. Sometimes you have to take the risk to save your sanity. Although I have to admit, if I didn't have family, I'd most likely be on the streets right now. I have money, but my town has very little for housing. So if I was not living with my sister, I'd most likely not be in this crap town anymore.
